New in 3.0: tinnitus relief in podcasts, radio, and on Mac- anything you play. Apple Health hearing tests, daily check-ins. One price, no subscription.
Tinnitus is unique to you. Your sound tools should be personal too.
Hzera measures the pitch of the ringing you hear, then gently removes that pitch from calming sounds, podcasts, radio, and, on Mac, anything you play. Track how you feel, learn to worry less about the sound, and share progress with your doctor.
NEW IN 3.0
- Our most popular request from you: podcasts and internet radio with your tinnitus pitch removed in the app.
- On Mac: the same filter on Spotify, Music, YouTube, and calls.
- A more precise filter that removes your pitch cleanly and keeps the rest of the sound natural.
- Daily check-ins with trends, so you can see whether your tinnitus bothers you less over time.
- The Quiet Mind Course: six weeks of short lessons based on CBT for tinnitus.
- A PDF report to bring to your audiologist or doctor.
- Apple Health integration.
APPLE HEALTH
With your permission, Hzera reads your most recent hearing test (audiogram) from the Health app, such as the Hearing Test on AirPods Pro. It shows your hearing with your tinnitus pitch marked, balances pitch-matching and Coordinated Reset tones to your hearing, and (Premium) can gently boost frequencies where your hearing is reduced. Hzera only reads; it never writes to Health, and your data stays on your device.
THE TINNITUS ASSESSMENT (FREE)
A guided, on-device assessment characterizes your tinnitus in about 12 minutes: pitch matching with an octave check and retest, noise-like tinnitus, a hearing screen, loudness, masking and residual inhibition, sound sensitivity and red-flag screening, and a 10-question impact score. Apply the result to therapy with one tap, or use the 3-minute quick check.
TWO THERAPY MODES
Notch Sound Therapy removes a band at your calibrated pitch from what you hear. Research has explored lateral inhibition as a possible mechanism, but clinical findings are mixed.
Coordinated Reset (CR) plays four tuned tones around your frequency in varied sequences, based on an experimental neural-desynchronization concept.
CONTROL THAT FITS YOUR TINNITUS
- Guided Standard, Broad Range, Related Tones, and Music setups
- Width from half an octave to 4 octaves, Deep or Soft depth
- Enhanced edges and related-frequency notches
- Separate left and right ear frequencies
- Safe automatic loudness compensation
- A live spectrum shows exactly what is removed
24 SOUNDSCAPES + YOUR OWN AUDIO
Noise, nature, ambient textures, and music beds, all filtered in real time. Premium users can import DRM-free audio from Files or Music.
SLEEP MODE (PREMIUM)
Fall asleep to a soundscape, then cross into Coordinated Reset after 30 to 90 minutes.
PRIVACY FIRST
Your data stays on your device. No accounts, analytics, ads, or tracking.

Hzera is not a medical device and does not claim to cure tinnitus. If your tinnitus is severe, please consult an audiologist or ENT specialist.
The app seems good so far - just started today. The issue is the brown noise file for the notched therapy cuts out briefly several times. That makes it not a sleep noise option.
Developer Response
Thank you for taking the time to report this. You were absolutely right: Brown Noise should remain uninterrupted, especially when used for sleep. We traced the issue to the audio loop and fixed it in version 2.4. We also reviewed all 24 built-in soundscapes, including Pink and White Noise, Heavy Rain, and Forest, to ensure smooth, continuous playback during long and background sessions. We appreciate you helping us improve Hzera so early in your experience. If you ever notice anything else, please contact us at support@hzera.com - we’re always happy to help!
Thank you to everyone of you who sent in your feedback and requests to our team. You're the best!
Hzera 3.0 brings your notch to everyday listening and helps you see what changes.
- A true band notch: a new Band shape removes the whole selected band, at least 40 dB deep from edge to edge, instead of a dip that is only deep at one frequency, with a 1-octave default matching the published notched-music studies. Your therapy sounds exactly as before after updating: existing notches stay on the Classic shape until you choose Band in Notch Settings.
- Listen tab: follow podcasts and play internet radio with your notch applied live, free for 60 minutes a day and unlimited with Premium. Streams that can't pass through the notch are never played un-notched. Listening time counts toward your daily goal.
- Notch Your Mac: on macOS, remove your tinnitus band from Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, and calls, for all audio or just the apps you choose. Audio is processed live and never recorded.
- Daily check-in: rate loudness and bother in ten seconds and see them charted next to your listening time.
- Report for your clinician: a one-page PDF of your pitch match, hearing screen, ratings, and listening to share with an audiologist or ENT.
- Quiet Mind Course: six weeks of short lessons and guided practices (breathing, relaxation, attention training, thought records, sleep) built on cognitive behavioral therapy, the approach guidelines most consistently recommend for tinnitus distress. The first two lessons are free.
- Your hearing from Apple Health: connect a calibrated hearing test (such as the Hearing Test on AirPods Pro) to see your audiogram with your tinnitus pitch marked, balance pitch-matching and CR tones, and optionally compensate for reduced hearing.
- Coordinated Reset adds an updated pattern that follows the published tone spacing and 3-on, 2-off rhythm, with each tone balanced for loudness. Existing users keep the Classic pattern until they switch it off in the CR card.
- Assessment history charts, a monthly re-check reminder, and a full data backup and restore.
- Fixes: rapid taps can no longer skip an impact question, and Apply to My Therapy now respects per-ear calibration.
- Ideas or problems? Write to team@hzera.com. We read everything!
