• GPS track recording is now free for everyone. Tap the red button on the map. • Public land now shows state trust and wildlife land too, from USGS data. • Layers marks every free layer FREE. Private-land parcels are the only paid one. • Hunting units keep loading even when a state's map server is down. • Import is easier to find, and you can also import on a computer at wikihunt.app.

• Fixed: hunting units, BLM land and PLSS sections load again. State agencies moved their map data, so units were missing in most states. • New: Good-Day Alerts (Pro) — a 6 PM heads-up the evening before a high-scoring day at your spot. • The Hunt Forecast now uses real pressure, wind and sky data, with a 7-day outlook. • Your plan follows your account: sign in and it unlocks on every device and at wikihunt.app/app. • Faster photo uploads, and Settings → Sync simply says "Up to date".

• Import from other apps: GPX, KML, KMZ (Google Earth's default) and GeoJSON files now bring in waypoints, tracks and area outlines. Open a file from Mail, Files or AirDrop straight into WikiHunt. • Export your waypoints, tracks and areas as GPX or KML — free on every plan. • New: Areas. Property lines, hunt areas, food plots and bedding outlines show on your map and sync between devices. • Your map on the web: sign in at wikihunt.app/app to import files and edit pins on your computer — changes appear on your phone. • Fixed: picking an All States plan no longer leaves a state highlighted, and hunt dates you clear stay cleared on every device.

• Starting a free trial now asks whether you want a reminder before you're charged, and says exactly when it will arrive. The reminder always comes in the daytime, never in the middle of the night. • Fixed the subscription screen getting cut off on smaller iPhones when you picked a state with a long name. • The sign-in screen now shows the WikiHunt logo.

• Fixed the subscription screen getting stuck loading when the App Store was briefly unreachable. Plans now load as soon as the connection comes back.

• Safety Check-In now tells you when notifications are off instead of quietly failing to start. It cannot remind you to check in without them. • A reminder now arrives before a free trial ends. • Redesigned sign-in screen with native Apple and Google buttons. • Switching plans now explains what happens to the subscription you already have.

• Pick the state you hunt most and the map opens there, with unit search already set to it. Choose it during setup, or change it any time in Settings. • Location sharing now warns you when access is off, or limited to while using the app, instead of showing your hunt group a live position that is not being sent. • All 12 states with property line coverage now show correctly when you compare plans, including Alaska. • Fixed the subscription screen not scrolling when you swiped over the feature images.

Hunt group invite codes are now private to the group they belong to. Until now a code could be discovered by someone outside your group, which meant a stranger could potentially join and see the waypoints your group had shared. If you hunt with a group, this update is worth taking. Invite codes for groups created before this update keep working — there's nothing to redo.

Switching from onX? Bring your pins with you. • Import waypoints from a GPX or KML file — exported from onX, HuntStand, GoHunt or a Garmin. WikiHunt shows you what it found and sorts your pins into categories before saving anything. • Property boundaries now have their own button on the map, instead of being buried in the layers menu. • Safety check-in now alerts your hunt group if you miss one. Previously the reminder fired but nothing escalated. • Edit your harvests, trail cam entries and tracks — tap or swipe any entry. They could only be deleted and re-created before.

• Hunts — group your waypoints into named hunts like "Opening weekend" or "Miller's farm", each with its own dates and notes. • Set a hunt active and new waypoints join it automatically while you're in the field. • Filter the map to a single hunt, or to just your unassigned pins. • Your hunts sync across your devices alongside your waypoints. • Alaska parcel boundaries — our 12th state, covering every major borough. • Fixed: hunters in western Nevada were shown parcel coverage for California.

• Game unit (GMU) search now starts in your own state and tells you up front if your state's unit maps aren't available yet. • Cleaner upgrade screen: when you unlock a Pro feature like Hunt Forecast or offline maps, plans come first — the state picker only appears when you're buying parcel boundaries. • Outside our 11 parcel states? You can now request yours right from the upgrade screen. New states are prioritized by demand. • Bug fixes and reliability improvements.

• Topographic map tiles no longer come up blank when you zoom in. Tiles that fail to load now retry automatically instead of leaving empty squares behind. • Blank tiles cached by earlier versions are detected and re-downloaded, so gaps you already have fill themselves in. • Offline area downloads no longer finish with tiles quietly missing. An incomplete download can be resumed to fill the gaps.

• Updated hunting season dates for the 2026-2027 seasons across all covered states. • Fixes and stability improvements.

• Maintenance and stability improvements.

• WikiHunt now shows up on the App Store as "Hunting Maps & GPS: WikiHunt". Same app, same features, easier to find. • Under-the-hood maintenance and stability improvements.

• Snappier app launch. • Locked previews on the Forecast tab (Best Windows, 5-Day Outlook, Breakdown) are now tappable for more info.

Small updates and improvements

Fixed a tab bar issue

• New Hunt Forecast tab — daily activity scores from solunar, weather, and pressure show when game is most likely to move, with today's peak windows and a 5-day outlook. • Cleaner navigation: four tabs (Map, Forecast, Saved, Group), with Settings and Layers moved to the Map's top-right. • Trail Cam and Harvest empty-state buttons now render at the right size. • Species and Weapon pickers open reliably on iOS 26. • Onboarding tips show one at a time instead of stacking.

Behind-the-scenes improvements

Polish: onboarding headlines now scale to fit on smaller iPhones.

Minor improvements

Colorado parcel coverage expanded from partial to nearly statewide — private land boundaries are now visible across all of CO.
