Plantekn 1.7.6. This version fixes bugs, draws furniture correctly on the plan and in 3D and makes text on the drawing easier to read. FURNITURE ON THE PLAN AND IN 3D Furniture in 3D now stands and faces the way it does on the plan. Pieces you have rotated point the right way, and when the app furnishes a room, chairs around the table face it. Round tables are round, and tables and beds stand on four legs. On the plan, new appliances, toilets and bathtubs get their real sizes, and the corner sofa and corner desk are drawn L-shaped. TEXT ON THE DRAWING The text field now opens with the keyboard ready, and what you have typed stays when you tap elsewhere on the plan. Before, you had to tap a second time to start writing. New text is larger, and each annotation can be set to small, medium or large. MEASUREMENTS AND AREA Large numbers can be entered again. The area field rejected anything above a thousand, which affected ordinary apartments when the app is set to feet. WALLS Holding the thickness button now costs one undo, not twenty. Also: fixes to saving, the keyboard and startup. Plantekn is made by one person. What you say shapes the next version.

Plantekn 1.7.5. WALL TYPES AND A THICKNESS FOR EVERY WALL A new tool in the sidebar: Walls. Tap a wall in the plan and say what it is: an exterior wall, an interior wall or a load-bearing wall. A load-bearing wall is drawn with hatching in the plan, as on a construction drawing, so the walls you mark as load-bearing stand out before anyone takes one down. The thickness follows the type: 25, 10 and 15 centimetres. If those numbers do not match your house, set the thickness on each wall, or set your own default thicknesses for the project once and let every wall follow them. Press and hold, then drag a frame around several walls to select them all at once, or use All exterior walls or All interior walls to do it in one tap. The tool is free, and the choices follow the room when you move it or duplicate it. WALLS HAVE THEIR REAL THICKNESS IN 3D Until now every wall was eight centimetres in 3D, whether it was an exterior wall or an interior wall. Now the exterior wall is 25 centimetres and the wall between two rooms is 10, without you doing anything. Door and window frames follow the thickness of the wall they sit in, and the outer corners are closed. The plans you have already drawn will look more solid, with nothing to redo. The area is unchanged. It is measured from the centre lines of the walls, exactly as before. THE BALCONY HAS A RAILING A balcony used to end in mid-air in 3D, and terrace, balcony and garden were all the same shade of green. A balcony drawn as a rectangle now gets a railing one metre high along the edges that do not meet a room with walls, and each outdoor space has its own colour: the garden is still lawn green, the balcony light grey, the terrace brown and the driveway concrete grey. ELSEWHERE The wall between the house and a terrace, balcony or garden is now drawn as an exterior wall, both in the plan and in the export. And the setting that was called Walls is now called Line weight; the thickness of a wall is set in the new tool. Plantekn is made by one person. What you say shapes the next version.

Plantekn 1.7.4. TWICE THE DRAWING AREA You now draw on 50 × 50 metres instead of 25 × 25. With PRO you can go further, to 75 × 75 or 100 × 100, enough for a whole plot, a farm, or a commercial building. The size is chosen per project, so a small flat need not sit on a huge sheet. Existing projects keep their position exactly as it was. CROP TO WHAT YOU WANT TO SHOW With the new Crop tool you drag a frame around the part of the drawing you want, and the export takes that. Show only the living room if that is what matters. Without a frame the whole plan is included, centred and correctly sized, even when the plan is ninety metres across. FURNITURE IN YOUR OWN COLOURS Pick from twelve colours per piece and see them in both the plan and 3D. The colour lands on the surface a piece is clad in; oak legs, the chrome on a tap and the glass in a display cabinet stay as they are. Kitchen fronts are coloured as one run, not cupboard by cupboard. All 112 pieces have also been redrawn with proper plan symbols: door swings, drawer lines, hatching where you see into an open shelf, and dashed outlines for what hangs overhead. ELSEWHERE Large plans are faster and handle memory better, the walkthrough has a truer field of view so rooms feel the size they are, and export no longer clips corners off very large drawings. Sloped ceilings are out in this version: the model applied to a whole floor, and the gable never came out right in 3D. Floors that had one now show their full area. The knee wall and roof pitch stay saved in the project. The app also has a new icon: a P drawn as a floor plan. Plantekn is made by one person. What you say shapes the next version.

Plantekn 1.7.3. APARTMENT, NOT JUST HOUSE Choose whether the project is a whole building or a single unit. An apartment is drawn without a foundation, entrance steps, garden or roof of its own — for a flat on the tenth floor that is not a missing feature, it is correct. You can also note which floor of the building it sits on. AREA FOLLOWS YOUR MARKET Living area is measured differently from country to country, and the app now follows the rule where you are. Only the part with enough headroom counts. Set a sloped ceiling on a floor and you see how many square metres fall outside as you drag the knee wall and roof pitch. THE PHONE HELD UPRIGHT Everything that felt cramped in portrait has been gone through screen by screen. Bigger targets where your thumb actually is, layouts that use the screen instead of leaving it empty, and text that no longer breaks in the middle of a word. ALSO Stability during export and image import, better VoiceOver throughout, a cleaner area report in the listing export, and a 3D apartment that finally looks like an apartment. Plantekn is built by one person. What you say shapes the next version.

Portrait on iPhone. The phone has been locked to landscape since the first version. Portrait is now a complete way to use Plantekn, with the status row at the top and the actions at the bottom within thumb reach. Landscape is unchanged and still the roomiest place to draw. Also in this version: • Type the room's exact size. Tap the measurement shown on the plan. • Doors swing both ways. Press and hold a door to choose inward or outward. The arc follows in the plan, in the PDF and in 3D. • New element: an opening without a door, for the open passage between rooms. • Balcony doors reach the floor in 3D and walkthrough. They used to render as ordinary windows with a wall below. • Join two rooms and the floor now runs unbroken through both, with the skirting interrupted where the wall was removed. • Handles keep the same size at any zoom, so they are just as easy to hit when you are zoomed out.

• Two floors are now free. You no longer need Pro to draw a two-storey house • AR measuring is free for everyone. Measure a room with the camera and draw it straight into the plan • The tracing photo can be moved, scaled and calibrated against a length you know • Auto-furnishing now reads the room's actual shape and keeps clear of door swings • 112 furniture items in ten categories, with dimensions you can show on the drawing • 40 room types, including basement living room, attic, home cinema, workshop and gym • A new start: welcome, draw, 3D, with no forms to fill in • Preview the property-listing export without Pro Plus a long list of fixes to export, VoiceOver and right-to-left languages.

Plantekn 1.7.0. Now in 14 languages. FOUR NEW LANGUAGES Chinese, Arabic, Russian and Portuguese. Arabic is the first right to left language in the app: the interface mirrors, while the floor plan, the 3D view and every export stay as they were. A mirrored floor plan would be a different building. AREAS ON YOUR MARKET'S TERMS Area terminology now follows the measurement standard where you live instead of a translated Norwegian split. Primary and secondary space in Norway, boarea and biarea in Sweden, Wohnfläche and Nutzfläche in Germany. Markets that quote a single total get exactly that, because that is what property listings there actually show. PRICES WHERE YOU LIVE The renovation calculator now covers China, Saudi Arabia and Brazil as well. If you live somewhere other than your language suggests, pick your market in Settings. THE ROOF IS ON The house has a roof now, and you pick the shape: gable, hip, mono pitch or flat. Outside it has gained horizontal cladding, a foundation, steps up to the front door and planting around it. The light is new at the same time: a real sky, softer shadows and calmer light throughout. The house looks like a house, not like a model. LOFTS AND SLOPED CEILINGS A loft is bigger on the drawing than it is in the listing. Turn on a sloped ceiling for the floor, set the knee wall and the roof pitch, and watch the square metres fall outside as you drag. Only floor area where the ceiling reaches 1.9 m is counted. TWELVE NEW FURNITURE TYPES Bar stool, bench, pouf, rocking chair, piano, desk lamp, drying rack, shower cabin, vanity cabinet, range hood, oven and wine cooler. ALSO A new first run that walks you through your first room. A new floor picker with a thumbnail of every floor. A new app icon. Support for larger text sizes. Sharing that opens right away, whether you share an image, a PDF or HTML. Plantekn is built by one person. Every piece of feedback shapes the next version.

Plantekn 1.6.6: the area adds up. Many of you draw one large room for the whole flat and place the rooms inside it. That counted the area twice. Inner rooms are now subtracted, so both the room and the building total come out right. Thank you to everyone who told us. 3D has been cleaned up too: ceilings, doors and stair openings render correctly in L shaped rooms, and the view is noticeably faster. Walkthrough is a Pro feature again after its open beta period. Thank you for drawing with Plantekn.

Plantekn 1.6.5: open shared plans, faster start. Got a .plantekn file? Tap it in Files, Mail or AirDrop to open it right in the app. Launch is quicker and steadier, with polish across all 10 languages. Thank you for drawing with Plantekn.

Plantekn 1.6.4: smoother and sturdier. Moving furniture and fine tuning your layout now feels faster and more fluid, and we have strengthened the app under the hood so everything sits more safely. Thank you for drawing with Plantekn.

Plantekn 1.6.3: a little polish. We have smoothed out a few small rough edges under the hood, so the app feels a touch nicer to use. Thank you for drawing with Plantekn.

Plantekn 1.6.2 — a quick fix. In the 3D view, a white ceiling could cover the whole plan from above even when "Show roof" was turned off. You can now look straight down into the rooms again — turn the roof on whenever you want to see the building from outside. Thank you to everyone who reported it so quickly.

Plantekn v1.6.1. Japanese support and polish across the app. 10 LANGUAGES 日本語 (Japanese) joins the other nine on equal footing. Every screen, FAQ and renovation calculator is translated. Settings now shows whether your projects live in iCloud Drive or only locally on the device. Smoother wall-height slider in 3D view, especially on multi-floor projects. Various polish under the hood. Thank you for using Plantekn.
