Save any recipe in one tap from Safari, TikTok, or Instagram - or write your own. Pay once, no subscription, ever.
Recipe Fox is your personal recipe collection - no subscription, no ads, no algorithm. Save from any website, TikTok, or Instagram. Pay once, own it forever.
SAVE FROM ANYWHERE
Paste any recipe URL, or tap Share in Safari, TikTok, Instagram, or any browser and pick Recipe Fox. Recipe Fox strips away the blog clutter and saves just what you need: ingredients and steps. A preview lets you confirm the recipe looks right before it lands in your collection. Clean, fast, reliable.
BEAUTIFULLY ORGANIZED
Browse your collection in a visual grid. Filter by category or custom tag. Search by name or ingredient. Group recipes into collections - weeknight dinners, baking projects, whatever works for you. Edit any recipe after saving. Your cookbook, your way.
BUILT FOR THE KITCHEN
Cook Mode keeps the screen awake, displays one step at a time in large readable text, and gets out of your way. Scale servings on the fly - ingredients adjust automatically. Switch between metric and US measurements with one tap. Works beautifully on iPhone and iPad. Greasy hands welcome.
REMEMBER WHAT WORKED
Log your cooks with a star rating and notes. Keep a dated record of how you adapted each dish and what your family loved.

Love that this app has a one time pay option and no monthly subscription BS like the other big recipe keeper apps. This app is great for importing recipes off of social media apps. But it’s missing a couple small things- no shopping list, and no translation options.
Developer Response
Thank you! Paying once and keeping it was the whole idea, so it's great to hear that matters to you too. A shopping list and translating recipes are both on my list of things people have asked for. Translation especially has come up a few times now, so it's getting a closer look. Thanks for taking the time to write this.
No way to sync recipes and data between devices
appropos
Bought lifetime license expecting that will work across devices but data does not sync between devices even with same signin. Also no way to import data from other recipe apps. This should be basic functionality that is missing.
Developer Response
Thanks for flagging this, and sorry for the confusion. Recipes do sync across devices under the same account - this isn't a local-only app. What's likely happening: the app doesn't automatically refresh when you switch back to it from the background, so a recipe saved on one device won't appear on another until you fully close and reopen the app on that device. That's a real gap on our end, not something you did wrong, and we're fixing it so switching devices just works.Importing from other recipe apps isn't supported yet, but it's a fair ask - noting it for a future update. If a full restart doesn't fix what you're seeing, email us at hello@recipefox.app and we'll sort it out directly.
Please add ability to categorize out ingredients! Read:

There are insta recipes for multiple sides in one meal. I want to be able to divide the ingredients for each side instead of one mega ingredient list. IE: Chicken Marinade, ingredients xyz. Tzatziki Sauce: Ingredients xyz, Salad: ingredients xyz. Thank you!!!!
Developer Response
Thanks for the detailed feedback! Splitting ingredients by component (marinade, sauce, salad, etc.) has been added to the app! 😊
A new look for Recipe Fox. Liquid Glass bars (iOS 26 and later) let your recipes show through as you scroll, and a new bar at the bottom puts Recipes, Collections and Settings one tap away, with search and add always in reach of your thumb.
Also in this update:
- Collections now have their own tab
- Settings is now a screen of its own, with a Light, Dark or Automatic appearance option
- Swiping back from the left edge now follows your finger
- Recipe Fox now saves recipes from sites that used to say no, including Allrecipes, EatingWell and Serious Eats. If a site blocks imports, the app tries again from your phone before giving up
- Choose Auto, Metric or US for ingredient amounts. Recipes that list both units now show just yours
- Ingredient headings like "For the Chicken" now carry over from more sites
- Sharper cover photos when you import a recipe
- Cleaner ingredient lists, with footnote markers like "(Note 1)" removed
- Deleting a recipe now updates the count and cover photo on your collections
- Amounts like "30 g butter" now show the right unit when converted to US
- On iPad, a sidebar replaces the bottom bar in wide windows, and popups and screens fit properly when you rotate
- You stay signed in more reliably when your phone is locked
- General reliability improvements
Thanks for cooking with Recipe Fox.
