A round dance practice player that keeps music, videos and cue sheets together. Dance Session Mode now scrolls with the wheel, and speed moves in 0.1% steps.
RoundDanceQ is a music and video player built specifically for round dance practice.
"That move, one more time" — the Q button brings that exact moment back with a single tap, and it will change the way you practice.
■ Q Button & Remember Q — the heart of the app
While playing a video, just tap the Q button to remember that exact point. Next time, simply tap the flower marker on the timeline to jump straight back to that spot and start a loop. Never miss the moment you want to see "just one more time" — repeat it as many times as you need.
■ Sections & Loop Practice
Section marks visualize the structure of a song. Combine section-based looping with A/B loops to focus on the parts you find difficult. Pre-roll (starting playback before the count) and beep cues help your body learn exactly where the loop begins.
■ PDF Cue Sheets & AI Analysis
Practice while viewing your PDF cue sheet. With the AI analysis feature (requires your own AI service API key), the app can automatically read a PDF cue sheet and fill in section information for you.
■ BGM Mode
Play your practice songs continuously by folder. Use shuffle, repeat-all, and the cue/original filter to recreate the atmosphere of a lesson hall.
■ Library Management
Cued and original versions of the same song are automatically grouped together. Manage links to your NAS or streaming service, and export your library as a two-column PDF.
■ Apple Watch, Lock Screen & Pocket-Size Remote Control
Jump between sections and control playback right from your Apple Watch — or from a tiny Bluetooth remote small enough to fit in your pocket (works great with keyboard-mode controllers like the 8BitDo Micro), so you can control the app hands-free while you dance. Full playback control, including the seek bar, is also available from the Lock Screen and CarPlay.
■ Backup & Sharing
Create a complete ZIP backup including your songs, videos, PDFs, and metadata. Sharing via AirDrop is also supported.
■ Cuer Mode (Pro)
A "cue karaoke" that shows and records the current cue in sync with playback —
practice calling cues in your own voice. The current cue also appears on your
Apple Watch and Lock Screen.
■ RoundDanceQ Pro (one-time purchase)
Unlocks Cuer mode and AI features (cue sheet analysis, note generation).
Pay once, use forever — not a subscription.
* Existing users keep Pro features free — thank you for your support!
* AI features require your own AI service API key (Cuer mode works without one).
Ratings & Reviews
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
• Dance Session Mode: the wheel now moves the section map (one section per click) and scrolls the cue sheet and miniQCT pages
• miniQCT in Dance Session Mode gets a “kamaboko lens” that enlarges the 3 lines under the center bar, highlighter marks on lines starting with Intro or Part, and dancing figures in the background
• Speed can now be adjusted in 0.1% steps
• In Dance Session Mode, ⏮ and ⏭ are disabled on pages other than the song list
• Fixed: moving to the next song while viewing the cue sheet page jumped back to the first page; returning from Request Dancing left the video playing; screen jitter in “Edit Sections” (iOS 18); beeps went silent after the audio service restarted
• Improved VoiceOver descriptions
