Address suggestions now remember places you saw but did not pick. Clearer message when a route covers too much distance. Reliability improvements to address search.

Daily limits now reset at 04:00 Spain time, and the messages say so. If our routing service is busy, a short notice shows your place in line. Reliability improvements for routes outside Spain.

Your saved routes and settings are now kept safely even if the system clears app data. More accurate address search in France.

Recent routes are now kept on your device for 30 days, then removed automatically. Clearer message when the stops of a route are too far apart to plan it. Address search and route planning are more reliable.

Tap a stop in the list to see it on the map. Places from routes you have already optimized now appear as you type, so you don't need to search for them again. If you have optimized the same stops too many times today, you can still get an estimated route.

If you optimize the same stops with the same settings again, the route loads instantly from your history. When you add stop 12, one tap turns on long routes (5 every 24 hours), and pasting many addresses no longer drops any. Outside Spain, if you hit a limit you can carry on with an estimated route. Clearer notices before you reach a limit.

Fixes a rare crash that could happen when something outside the app rewrote the screen, clearer privacy wording, equal Accept and Reject buttons, and fonts now ship inside the app.

Internal measurement improvements and store listing corrections.

Better routes outside Spain: a backup route provider adds capacity when many people plan at once, and a lighter estimate keeps routes working when the daily allowance runs out. Small fixes and improvements.

New: Japanese. Performance and stability improvements.

New: Recent routes — your last 20 routes are saved on your device and reopen instantly. The Optimize button now ignores accidental repeat taps.

New animated tutorial: an example route optimises and draws itself, so you can see how MakeRoutes works at no cost to you. Stability improvements.

New icon: it now shows a route with several stops, which is what MakeRoutes does. Plus extra protection so long routes stay free for everyone.

Long routes (up to 15 stops): you now get 5 a day on your device, and the app shows how many you have left and when the next one frees up. Clearer messages when a route can't be calculated, plus stability improvements.

More room for your stops on small screens, faster address search outside Spain, and cleaner stop details.

More room for your stop list on small screens. A new example route that pins both ends. Address search improvements.

Internal improvements to how the app reports usage statistics, so we can tell which platform and which region a problem comes from. Nothing new is collected: still no advertising, no profile, no location, and nothing at all until you accept.

The app now opens on the map, so there is somewhere to start from. Warnings about the stop limit appear next to the field that produced them, instead of being cut off inside a disabled box. Pasting a long list of addresses now tells you how many fit before it spends lookups on the ones that do not. Optimising is faster: the app no longer waits on a verification check it never needed.

Address search now covers the whole world: suggestions as you type outside Spain too. Long routes (more than 11 stops) are now limited to three a day, and the app tells you how many you have left. MakeRoutes is free, and keeping it free means keeping it sustainable.

A simpler way to enter addresses. • Paste a whole list. Copy several addresses from a note or an email, paste them in, and add them all at once instead of one at a time. • Try an example. A ready-made three-stop route so you can see how the app works before typing anything. • A clearer search box. Type an address, press Search, pick the result. The field is easier to find and long addresses no longer get cut off. • How it works. A four-step guide, always one tap away. • Pick a point on the map when an address will not do. • Clearer messages when a route cannot be made, including when your daily allowance comes back.

• Usage statistics, only if you say yes: the first time you open this version, the app asks whether it may count which features are used and what fails. Decline and nothing is sent; accept and anonymous counts go to our own server. Change your answer at any time from Profile → Usage statistics. • Nothing else changes in this version.

• Round trip is now one switch, right under the search box: turn it on and the route comes back to where it started. • The settings button now shows what it holds: "Fastest" or "Shortest", one tap from the rest. • Apple Maps receives the whole route, every stop included (iOS 18.4 or later). On earlier versions of iOS the app tells you beforehand that only the start and the end can be handed over. • Longer routes: turn on "Allow up to 15 stops" and Apple Maps takes them all. Google Maps still stops at 11. • If a maps app cannot take every stop of a route, the app says so before exporting instead of trimming the route quietly. • The seventh stop is no longer refused without a word. • Address suggestions no longer go blank mid-address, and never show results from an earlier keystroke. • The route bar no longer pushes its buttons off screen on narrow phones, and the map layers button has its own place on the map. • Fixed the white band above the map in dark mode.

• Open your route in Apple Maps, alongside Google Maps. • Addresses outside Spain now appear as you search, without having to ask for a wider search. • Routes for stops outside Spain, which we could not plan before. • Google Maps silently drops stops past the eleventh when a route is exported. The app now keeps routes within what it accepts, and warns you before an export would be shortened. • The map remembers where you left it. • The search box clears when you pick an address, so the next one is not typed onto the end of the last. • Address search: plus codes (like "8FVC9G8F+6X") resolve instantly, offline.
