Notifications Now Work When the App is Closed Previously, you would only receive notifications when the app was already open. Several behind-the-scenes fixes were made so that your phone now shows a notification alert — with sound — even when the app is completely closed or you're doing something else on your phone. The number on the app icon (like the red "3" on Facebook) also now shows the correct count of unread notifications, not just always "1". Automatic Update Prompt When a new version of the app is released on the App Store or Google Play, users will now automatically see a pop-up inside the app asking them to update. They can tap "Update Now" to go straight to the store, or "Later" to dismiss it and continue using the app. If they dismiss it, they won't be asked again for 3 days. This means users will always be nudged to stay on the latest version without you having to do anything — it happens automatically.

Empty sections move below Hot Deals - "In Transit" and "Available Now" sections now render above Hot Deals only when they have data or are loading - When empty (loaded but no results), they drop below Hot Deals - Extracted _buildInTransitSection() and _buildAvailableNowSection() helper methods to avoid duplicating widget code Database — cartel.country_cars Consolidated two tables into one - cartel.in_transit_cars and cartel.available_now_cars replaced by a single cartel.country_cars table - New status column ('in_transit' | 'available_now') differentiates the two types - New arrival_date (date) column for expected arrival of in-transit cars - Composite index on (country_id, status) matches app query pattern App queries updated in 3 files: - home_page.dart — both fetch methods now query country_cars with .eq('status', ...) - in_transit_cars_page.dart — same - available_now_cars_page.dart — same Push Notifications Firebase was installed but never actually running — now fully wired up: - Firebase.initializeApp() called in main() before runApp() - FCM background handler registered so push notifications are delivered when app is closed - PushNotificationService().init() called on app start (for returning logged-in users) and on every fresh sign-in (to collect and save FCM token to Supabase) Red badge on bottom nav bell icon: - bottom_nav.dart now reads NotificationService().unreadCount live - Red circle with white count appears over the bell icon when there are unread notifications - Shows 9+ for counts above 9 App icon badge (like Facebook's red number on home screen): - Added app_badge_plus package - notification_service.dart updates the device app icon badge count on every state change: new notification, mark as read, mark all as read, delete, clear all, logout

"In Transit" section on home page A new country-specific horizontal section appears between Trending Now and Hot Deals showing cars currently being shipped to the user's country. Tapping "View All" opens a full dedicated page filtered to the user's country. "Available Now" section on home page A new country-specific horizontal section showing cars physically available in the user's country right now. Also filterd by the user's profile country, with its own "View All" page. Both sections are only visible to logged-in users and are completely hidden when no cars are listed for the user's country.

- set minimum budget floor to $10,000 (6,000,000 FCFA) - add tests for onboarding preference persistence and default distance unit MI - persist onboarding language/currency/distance prefs to profile on signup - add In Transit and Available Now country-specific sections to home page - hide people interested count on trending view all car detail - rename _serviceWithRows to serviceWithRows in app_config_service_test

In this session, the app's research fee was reduced from $50 to $15 (9,000 XAF), made remotely configurable via a Supabase app_config table so the fee can be updated without a new deployment, and restricted to used car searches only — new car searches now bypass Stripe entirely and activate for free. The app's navigation flow was restructured so that brand new users go through language and currency onboarding once, returning logged-out users land directly on the home page in their saved language, and returning logged-in users see the splash screen in their correct language before being taken home. Two critical translation gaps were fixed — the email confirmation page was entirely hardcoded in French and the splash page was hardcoded in English, both now properly respond to the user's selected language. Several build-breaking issues were resolved including a deprecated Supabase API call, a Gradle version incompatibility blocking Android builds, and a Google Play version code collision. A layout overflow crash on the car details page for vehicles with long model names was also fixed. Throughout all of this, the test suite was expanded from roughly 80 tests to 169, covering the new entry flow, remote config service, conditional fee logic, language persistence, and onboarding detection.

1. Research Fee Reduced — $50 → $15 The service fee for a research request has been lowered from 30,000 XAF (~$50) to 9,000 XAF (~$15). This affects the payment screen, the payment confirmation screen, and the payment failed screen. 2. Bug Fixes & Build Improvements - Fixed iOS build — Upgraded Supabase initialization to use the current API (publishableKey instead of the deprecated anonKey), resolving a static analysis failure that was blocking iOS and Android builds. - Fixed Android build — Upgraded the Gradle wrapper from version 8.13 to 8.14 to meet Flutter's minimum requirement, resolving a hard build failure on Android. - Fixed Google Play upload — Added a version code offset to prevent "version code already used" rejections from Google Play when builds are retried. - Fixed test suite — Updated the payment page unit test to reflect the new 9,000 XAF fee, resolving the one failing test that was blocking CI.
