Daisee is an assistive app for people living with low vision, macular degeneration, or other visual impairments. Using your iPhone's camera and advanced AI, it acts as a patient second pair of eyes — reading aloud, describing what's around you, locating objects, naming colours, and sensing light.
FEATURES
See for Me
Point your camera at a letter, menu, medicine label, or sign, and DaiSee reads it aloud with a calm, clear voice. It can also describe scenes, rooms, photographs, and unfamiliar objects in natural language. Ask follow-up questions by voice and it answers.
Locate Item
Say what you want to find — "my keys", "the blue mug", "the remote control" and DaiSee guides you to it with spoken directions until it's in your hand.
Identify Colour
Hold your camera over any surface to hear its colour named clearly. Useful for matching clothing, checking ripe fruit, or understanding a photo.
Light Sense
Converts the brightness around you into a continuous audio tone — higher pitch for brighter light — so you can find a window, a lamp, or a bright patch by sound alone.
DESIGNED FOR ACCESSIBILITY
• Fully voice-controlled: say "stop", "repeat", "slower", "faster", or "go back"
• Large, high-contrast layout for residual vision
• Full VoiceOver support and Dynamic Type
• Portrait-only — the screen never rotates unexpectedly
• Patient speech recognition that waits while you gather your thoughts
• Works with Bluetooth hearing aids and headphones
PRIVACY
DaiSee does not require an account. You never need to type or sign in. Camera images and voice audio are sent over a secure connection only while you are actively using a feature, and are not stored on our servers.
SUPPORT
If you have feedback, questions, or ideas, please email us — we read every message and use your input to make DaiSee better.
Just downloaded the app and tried it on one of those outrageously small printed tags that come on USB items. Mine was a light to read a book by. On the third try it read every single word in of print that is so small that it wouldn’t even have shown up on my mag
Developer Response
Thank you so much for sharing this, we’re really pleased Daisee was able to read such tiny print for you! Those little labels on USB accessories and electronics are exactly the kind of everyday thing that can become incredibly frustrating when the text is almost impossible to magnify. We’re especially glad it managed to capture everything clearly on the third attempt. Feedback like this means a lot to us and helps us know that Daisee is solving the kind of practical problems it was built for.Thank you for giving Daisee a try! 🌼
minor voiceover issues
tacoburn70
A great app, but some minor voiceover issues in the settings. for example, if you tap on language, it won't tell you what the language is currently set to, unless you double tap to change the language. The same with all the other settings. you don't know what voices you are using either unless you double tap to change them. minor things that could be fixed with the next update. Otherwise I love it
Developer Response
Thank you for the detailed feedback, and especially for saying you love Daisee. You’re absolutely right that VoiceOver should announce the currently selected language, voice and other settings, and we’ll work on improving this.Daisee is still a young, independent and completely free project, so feedback like yours really does help us improve quickly. If this update addresses the issue for you, we’d be very grateful if you’d consider revisiting your rating, it makes a real difference to a growing accessibility app.Thank you again for helping us make Daisee better.
Missing something on the menu
Ale👩🏽🦯➡️
I'm missing Walking With My Cane In The Menu, my Friends Told Me That There Is a Walking With Kane But I don't Have it, the voice tell me that she can't see the road, but the camera is Open and the help me see is working too, can you tell me why is happening this, I really down the app again but steer doesn't appear the walk with Kane appear
Developer Response
Thank you for the feedback. Cane Mode is only available on supported phones with LiDAR/depth sensing, so if your device doesn’t support that hardware, the option will not appear in the menu. When Daisee says it “can’t see the road,” that is a safety message. Daisee is designed to give extra audio information while walking, but it should always be used alongside your usual mobility aid, such as a white cane or guide dog, and never relied on by itself for navigation. If you let us know your iPhone model, we’ll be happy to confirm whether Cane Mode is supported on your device.🙂 support@hellodaisee.org
Thank you!

Thank you to the makers of this app! You are angels! My vision is kind of bad and while I can still see and read sometimes my eyes get tired. When they get tired I can misread things. This will help me avoid errors on important tasks.
Developer Response
Thank you so much for your kind words, this genuinely means a lot to me.What you described about tired eyes and misreading things is actually one of the exact reasons I wanted to build Daisy. Sometimes it’s not about completely losing vision, but the stress and fatigue that can come from trying not to make mistakes during important everyday tasks.I’m really glad Daisy could help give a bit more confidence and reassurance in those moments.Thank you again for taking the time to leave a review and support the app ❤️
