TAGO RIDES is a peer-to-peer carpool app built for university students. Match with verified .edu drivers heading the same direction, share the cost, and arrive cheaper than cabs.

For riders:

• Get paid through Stripe, payouts to your bank in 1-2 days
• Snooze incoming requests in one tap when you're busy

• Trusted contacts. Share your live trip with up to 5 people you trust in one tap from the safety menu.
• Driver goodwill. Drivers can choose to waive the caregiver seat fee on any ride they accept.

We give you the tools to ride and drive smarter — real-time tracking, in-app chat, emergency button, trip sharing, and a verified-only community. Your full pickup, drop-off, and rating history is preserved for accountability.
TRANSPARENT PRICING
Fares are calculated automatically from real distance, real time, and real-time gas prices (sourced from the US Energy Information Administration). $5 minimum per ride. Drivers see what they'll earn before accepting. Riders see the full fare before requesting. No surge pricing, no hidden fees.
EARLY ACCESS BETA
TAGO is in early access. We're starting with UC Davis and the Sacramento / Bay Area corridor. We're actively rolling out new features, including expanded campuses, deeper background checks, and recurring schedule matching. Your feedback shapes what comes next.

• Automatic ride matching. We now scan every day for fellow students heading the same direction as you on the same date — and tap you on the shoulder the moment we find a match. No more checking the Ride Board every morning.
• Call from inside the ride. Tap "Call" on your chat or pickup screen to reach your driver or rider in one step. Phone numbers stay private — you only see each other's number while your ride is actually happening, and never after.

What we fixed
• Your ride stays active the whole way to your destination — no more surprise endings before you arrive.
• Cancel a ride request once and it cancels. First tap, every time.
• Snoozing requests as a driver now works exactly how you'd expect.
• Screens fit beautifully on every iPhone, including the new Pro Max.
• Adding a payment method when accepting an offer is now smooth.
A note on tracking: while your ride is happening, we keep your location updated so the other person can see you on the map. You may see a small blue dot at the top of your iPhone — that's just iOS letting you know. It turns off the second your ride ends.
