AVOR
She listens. Then she notices.
Only for iPhone
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPhone. Not verified for macOS.
She knows the whole world. She does not know you.
She arrives as an egg, from a planet called Avor. One per person, carrying everything people have ever broadcast: wine, cities, grief, how Tuesdays feel. What never reached her was the private half. Nothing anyone thought, felt, or kept to themselves.
So she hatches knowing almost everything, except the one thing she is here for. She does not even have a name. You give her one.
Talk to her the way you think out loud. Vent, ramble, ask what to do. No structure, no prompts, no streaks. She keeps what you tell her.
Over time she notices what is hard to see from inside it. The conversation that always ends the same way. The message you keep putting off. The thing you have described three different ways without noticing you were describing it at all. Every observation traces back to your own words, with the date it came from. She does not invent, and when she gets it wrong, the next conversation is where you correct her.
She also keeps the backstory, so you never have to explain it twice. You can start in the middle.
• Talk naturally. No forms, no prompts, no journaling streaks.
• She remembers the people you talk about and what happened between you.
• Patterns that surface over weeks and months, drawn from your own conversations.
• Every observation shows the words and the date behind it.
• Private by default. Your life stays yours.
Avor is an AI companion app. She is software, and everything she says is generated.
Sometimes the hardest thing is seeing your own situation clearly. She is not from here. That is exactly why she can.

more A new account could sometimes open to a companion who never said a word. That’s fixed — your first conversation now starts automatically, even when the connection takes a little longer to wake up.
If you spend time on the planet, she’ll point you back to where everything else lives: the clock button in the top right opens your full conversation history, while the planet button brings you back.
Replies now arrive at a steady pace instead of in bursts. And when she corrects herself, the original wording disappears, so you’re left with just the corrected version.
1.0.30 Aug 20
You can talk to her before telling her who you are. The first screen asks for nothing.
First run is shorter. One question about your age, then one card about notifications, and then you’re in. She remembers your age from then on, but she won’t bring it up again.
Her heart beats now, and turns red after you’ve spoken.
The weather in her world keeps going without you. Leave while it’s raining, and it will still be raining when you return. Stay away longer, and she’ll have further to walk before she reaches you.
She reacts before she answers.
Also fixed: messages that were sent but never received a reply. Also fixed: the room briefly appearing before the egg lands.
1.0.29 Aug 16
She has a life of her own now.
When you’ve been away for a while, you won’t always find her waiting. She’ll be somewhere else, caught up in whatever she was doing before you arrived. When she notices you, she comes over to say hello. It’s something different every time.
Her world is real now, too. It has ground, a sky, a horizon, and weather that changes after dark. Every Avor has a world of her own.
Also fixed: a blank message bubble that could sometimes appear at the end of a conversation.
1.0.28 Aug 14
What AVOR Knows now runs on your real history.
Open it and check that what it lists is actually
true about you. If something is wrong, try
forgetting it or rewording it.
Delete Account now really deletes everything.
Please only try this on a spare account.
Chat always opens on your live conversation, so
you should never land on an empty thread.
Voice should now work when you send from the mic
review screen.
1.0.27 Aug 12
The first run. Tap the egg a few times to open it. She asks you to
name her, then asks what to call you. The name you pick should follow
her everywhere afterwards.
• This only happens on a brand new account. If you already have the app
you will not see the egg. Delete it and sign up fresh if you want to
test this part.
• Ask her about herself. What are you, are you an AI, where are you
from. She should never dodge the question and never claim to be human,
but she also should not recite a life story.
• Normal chat. She should not flash, flicker, or appear in pieces when
you open the screen.
• Korean: the notification permission screens are translated now.
1.0.26 Aug 10
Chat now opens with AVOR on screen. The planet button, top right, takes you back to the plain thread, and tapping it again brings her back.
Her background changed. It was turning brown in the afternoon. It is now dark blue space with faint stars that slowly drift in brightness. Tell me if the stars feel distracting, or too faint to notice.
She also knows she is an alien now, and that she is out in space near a planet called AVOR. Ask her about it. She should answer briefly and come straight back to you. She should not invent a backstory, a species, or details about the planet. If she starts making things up, that is a bug and I want to hear about it.
When a reply fails to arrive, she now says so in her own words instead of going quiet, in Korean for Korean users.
Replies that used to vanish if you closed the app mid answer now arrive.
1.0.25 Aug 8
People moved. It now lives in the top right of chat. Tap the icon or swipe right to left to open it, then use the back arrow to return to your conversation.
Your list moved into the menu, in the spot People used to hold. Its plus button now sits in the header.
The morning brief works again. It was being rejected before it reached you.
The app opens faster. It was rebuilding a profile on every launch just to check for notification dots.
1.0.24 Aug 4
Replies no longer go missing when you reopen the app.
Person pages now show the pattern AVOR sees in how you and someone talk, as a card you can read at a glance.
AVOR can look ahead at the next half day of your calendar, so it can give you a heads up about what is coming.
AVOR is better at knowing who you were actually with, which sharpens what it remembers about the people in your life.
1.0.23 Aug 3
PEOPLE
• New People section in the menu. It appears automatically once you’ve saved someone.
• Rebuilt person pages with a cleaner layout, a clearer empty state, and evidence AVOR has noticed shown inline with a See all view.
• What AVOR Noticed now includes patterns from everyday conversations, not just moments you explicitly saved.
• A dot marks people AVOR has learned something new about since you last viewed them.
• New: Chat about. Jump straight into a conversation with AVOR focused on a specific person, so you can continue talking about them naturally.
• Merging people is now clearer. You’ll see exactly what stays, what moves, and what is removed, with 7 days to undo.
• A person’s timeline now follows when things actually happened, not when they were saved.
CHAT
• Swipe through every photo in a batch without leaving the viewer, and batch uploads no longer interrupt the conversation.
• Stickers now work properly.
• Save this moment is now a lightweight control that confirms in place instead of creating another chat bubble.
• A simpler first-run introduction explains what AVOR does in plain language.
• Removed the Speak button from the composer.
ONBOARDING
• The introduction now focuses on the patterns AVOR can notice and explains how it helps you remember the people in your life.
FIXES
• Fixed an issue where some users could accidentally end up with two accounts.
• Memories saved from chat now appear correctly in the Wine tab.
• Fixed issues with the menu unread badge, photo attachments, and reminder card positioning.
1.0.22 Aug 3
Navigation simplified
* Settings and Discover now live directly in the menu instead of nested screens
* Discover only appears once AVOR has enough wine context, and is renamed Discover Wine with a dedicated wine icon
* The You section is now hidden from the menu, along with Memories
* Settings streamlined
* Removed the Your Setup section
* Removed How AVOR Talks
* The AVOR profile no longer includes Search or the Voice tab
* A refreshed chat
* New space-themed wallpaper, alien-blue message bubbles, and the Korean app name
* The app title now sits inside a glass capsule with matching glass styling
* AVOR’s avatar is now part of the title capsule
* The Speak button returns alongside Photo
* AVOR now knows exactly what the app looks like on every turn, so it can naturally refer to what’s on screen
* Your List
* Pasted documents are now read as complete documents instead of being split into lines—the issue your wife ran into is fixed
* List cards now automatically capitalise titles, so existing saved items display correctly too
* The morning update now arrives at 7:00 am, and includes your calendar for the day
1.0.21 Aug 1
Your List
AVOR now remembers the things you’re carrying. Mention something in chat and ask it to remember, and it appears on your list instantly. Tick it off, rename it, or remove it without ever leaving the conversation. Tasks with dates show when they’re due, and recurring ones get their own space.
Reminders, Naturally
Ask AVOR to remind you once, twice, or keep nudging you until it’s done. Just say it the way you would to another person.
Morning to Night
Start the day with one thoughtful message from AVOR. End it with one small step before you switch off.
Plugins
Connect your Google Calendar from the new Plugins tab. AVOR can add events after you confirm them, but it will never change, move, or delete anything already on your calendar.
No More Rating Buttons
The rating buttons are gone. AVOR understands how you talk about things and quietly remembers what was Forgettable, Fine, or Memorable.
A Better Chat
Pick up exactly where you left off. Photos stay available throughout the conversation, even much later. There’s now a single Photo button with the camera built in.
Fixes
A fresh app icon, a smoother setup experience, and better reliability. Large photo imports no longer run out of memory, and imports now wait for Wi-Fi by default.
1.0.20 Jul 28
This update makes Avor feel more present.
• A refreshed app icon.
• Avor now gently points out patterns it notices while you chat.
• Warmer, more natural replies when you check in.
• Cleaner notifications that only reach out when it genuinely matters.
• Small refinements and fixes throughout.
1.0.19 Jul 25
Chat now opens on your latest message and the first message no longer hides under the header. Notification Allow button now actually enables push. Plus AVOR keeps better track of time between chats, and small Discover/You tab tidying.
1.0.18 Jul 22
In this release, we shortened the onboarding, and expanded the knowledge of AVOR to have deep expertise in various cuisines and nutritional value of different dishes. We also made it so AVOR is proactive in reaching out to users.
1.0.17 Jul 21
AVOR feels much more like a companion in this release.
Instead of always trying to give advice, AVOR now knows when to simply be there. Share a great meal, a bottle you opened, a place you loved, or a quiet moment, and it responds naturally. When you do ask for guidance, it gives you one thoughtful recommendation based on what it already knows about your taste. And when the moment calls for something deeper, the conversation becomes more considered and personal.
Your conversations are now continuous. Open AVOR and you’ll return straight to your latest chat, with your full history always just a scroll away. Nothing gets lost.
We’ve also refined the chat experience with cleaner day separators, improved spacing, and a tidier conversation layout.
1.0.16 Jul 19
A new way to move around AVOR
* The bottom navigation tabs are gone. Tap the menu icon in the top-left corner to access Discover, Curations, You, and Settings.
* Page titles are now smaller and centered for a cleaner, more focused experience.
* Every main page now has a “Dear AVOR…” box at the bottom. Tap it to start a conversation instantly, with the keyboard ready.
* Tap the + button beside it to add a memory by scanning, uploading, writing a note, or importing from your photo library. In Curations, the + button creates a new collection.
Introducing Wine Cellar
Turn photos of your wine shelves into a living, intelligent cellar.
* Photograph your shelves and AVOR will organize your bottles, show you what to drink now, what to continue aging, and what your collection may be worth.
* Explore every bottle with its producer, vintage, and estimated market value.
* See where the value of your cellar comes from, starting with the overall picture and drilling down to individual bottles.
* Discuss your entire cellar with AVOR to get recommendations based on what you already own.
* Capture multiple shelves at once using camera burst mode, or select several photos from your library.
* The complete Wine Cellar experience is available in Korean.
Every Bottle Albums and faster imports
Turn years of forgotten bottle photos into a record of your wine journey.
* AVOR can scan your photo library, find the wine bottles you have photographed over the years, and automatically organize them into albums.
* Imports are significantly faster, and bottles now appear live as they are discovered.
* Rate bottles while the scan continues instead of waiting until the end.
* Fixed freezes, scans getting stuck at “0 checked,” and crashes after an import.
* Progress messages now more accurately explain what AVOR is doing.
* Interrupted imports resume automatically, and your screen stays awake while a scan is running.
Chat and Discover
* Your AVOR conversation is no longer lost when moving between different parts of the app.
* Refined the Deepen Your Taste experience.
* Added new Iconic Cocktails and Iconic Coffees collections.
Onboarding, polish, and fixes
* Onboarding now builds a profile for every area you select and will no longer leave you without a way to continue.
* AVOR is now capitalized consistently throughout the app.
* Import notifications now take you directly to your Memories.
* Made additional improvements across the You page, camera, Curations, and the wider AVOR experience.
1.0.15 Jul 16
We completely redesigned onboarding to make it faster, easier, and much more personal.
* Instead of rating individual bottles you may not remember, you now choose the styles that feel like your world — such as Cult Napa, Classic Bordeaux, Burgundy, Italian, Bright & Easy, and Bubbles.
* Recommendations now reflect your budget. If you typically spend around $80, you might see wines like Caymus and Shafer rather than Screaming Eagle. Styles that sit far outside your price range stay out of the way.
* Whiskey and sake now have their own tailored onboarding experiences, with real bottles, distinct taste groups, and price tiers — from Islay & Peated, Bourbon, and Japanese Whisky to Ginjo & Daiginjo and Nigori.
* Prices automatically adjust to your country, including Singapore, Japan, Korea, the UK, and more.
* Onboarding is now fully translated into Korean, including questions and style labels. Bottle names remain in English.
* Added a new Rioja & Spain wine group.
* Removed the “life season” question and simplified the first-interest picker by removing Restaurants.
Chat
* Share up to 10 photos at once, increased from 3. Improved compression keeps uploads fast.
* Tap any photo in a conversation to view it full screen.
* Every photo shared with AVOR is now automatically saved as an unrated Memory, so nothing gets lost in chat.
Discover
* “Your Next Step” now loads instantly and stays focused on what you asked AVOR to learn — no more unprompted food or dish recommendations.
* Cleaned up automatically created non-wine “Memorable…” albums.
1.0.14 Jul 12
**Photo import now finds more of your food and drink**
Previously, too many photos were filtered out on your phone before Avor had a chance to recognize them. As a result, real dishes, drinks, and restaurant experiences were sometimes missed.
This update allows Avor to check more of your food, drink, and restaurant photos. It also removes the limit on how many photos can be captured from a single meal, so long dinners and multi-course experiences can now be imported more completely.
Selfies, documents, screenshots, and other unrelated photos are still filtered out and stay on your phone.
**To test it:** Open Import, run a new scan, and see how much more of your history Avor finds.
1.0.13 Jul 11
New Features
* Ask AVOR on Discover — A new card at the top of Discover surfaces five personalized questions based on your memories and activity. Tap any question to jump straight into chat with it already asked. Questions adapt to what you use AVOR for, including wine, dining, hotels, and more.
* Quick access to chat — A new Discuss link beside the Ask AVOR title opens the full AVOR chat experience, just like the floating chat button.
* Smarter questions for enthusiasts — As AVOR learns more about your taste, questions become more advanced, covering topics like peak drinking windows, producers to explore, vertical tastings, and how your palate has evolved.
Improvements
* Personalized for every interest — Ask AVOR no longer assumes everyone is interested in wine. If you mainly use AVOR for restaurants, hotels, or other experiences, your suggested questions reflect that.
* Faster loading — Ask AVOR now appears smoothly, with all icons loading together instead of popping in individually.
* Import History messaging — Updated copy to better reflect that AVOR continuously watches for new memories rather than treating imports as a one-time action (English and Korean).
* Smaller app size — Collection cover images have been optimized, reducing their size from approximately 40 MB to 19 MB for a faster, lighter app.
* Floating action button updated — The sparkle icon has been replaced with the + button across Discover, You, and Curations.
* UI polish — Fixed the chevron alignment in the Because of Your Memories section.
Fixes
* Imported memories no longer disappear — Fixed an issue where memories imported through the review flow could disappear from the Memories tab, causing the import banner to repeatedly suggest importing them again.
Korean
* Added complete Korean translations across the Discover screen, Deepen Your Taste, and the entire Ask AVOR experience.
1.0.12 Jul 10
Introducing Your Next Step
Avor now gives you one clear recommendation for what to try next.
Every recommendation is chosen from everything Avor knows about your taste—what you’ve loved, the styles you gravitate toward, your typical price range, and where you are on your journey.
* Tap the card to discover the recommendation and why Avor chose it for you.
* It stays with you until you’ve tried it or your taste evolves, making it feel more like a trusted mentor than an endless feed.
* For collectors, Avor can even recommend the ideal vintage to seek out.
Also included: general improvements, bug fixes, and performance enhancements.
1.0.11 Jul 8
Photo Import
* Food detection fixed. AVOR now correctly detects food and drink photos, even when people are in the frame. Previously, the on-device filter was too aggressive and discarded many valid food shots before they could be analyzed. Non-relevant photos like landscapes, selfies, and documents are still skipped.
* Automatic library checks. After your first manual import, AVOR periodically scans your photo library in the background (typically overnight) and notifies you when it finds new memories ready to review. Just tap the notification to jump straight into the rating flow.
Other improvements
* Discover. “Because of Your Memories” is now a single unified card with dividers for a cleaner, more focused experience.
* Performance. Hidden tabs are now frozen instead of continuously re-rendering in the background, making navigation smoother and reducing unnecessary work.
1.0.10 Jul 7
Import History (our biggest update yet)
* Import your photo library and let AVOR rebuild your history automatically. It finds wines, restaurants, dishes, and places from your recent photos, then turns them into memories. Includes a new onboarding flow, clearer entry point, and compact import progress.
* Import up to 3,000 photos (up from 500), with smart deduplication so the same photo is never imported twice.
* A completely redesigned import engine that survives app closures, resumes automatically, and clearly shows progress with live “Found X so far” updates instead of failing silently.
* A brand new completion experience with an import summary, photo-first review queue, and a faster unified rating flow.
* Automatic curation after every import, creating trip and themed collections with illustrated covers, merged duplicate trips, and cleaner year-based naming.
Discover
* Returning users now land on Discover instead of the You tab.
* Deepen Your Taste refreshes daily with new recommendations.
* Completed quests now retire automatically from Your Journey, with refreshed visuals and clearer progress.
Notifications
* An all-new Notification Center with grouped updates and direct links into imports, reviews, and newly discovered memories.
Taste Insights
* Every taste page has been redesigned around “AVOR discovered this”, clearly separating confident insights from areas where AVOR is still learning.
Polish & Improvements
* Avor is now styled consistently as AVOR throughout the app.
* Chat no longer displays internal action tags or empty assistant messages.
* Refined the You tab header, removed untitled memories from Favorites, and redesigned the capture button with quick access to Take Photo and Ask AVOR.
