FamList now asks before anything goes to AI. Scan Receipt and recipe suggestions are made by Google Gemini. The first time you use one, FamList says what it sends and asks first. A new Use AI switch in Settings turns AI off completely. Your dietary profile is sent to Gemini when anyone in your household asks for recipe suggestions, so the recipes avoid your allergies. The dietary questions now say so, and anyone who answered them before is told once. Leave a household without deleting your account. Your own member card has Leave this household, and a household's owner can remove someone from theirs. When you leave, the next member takes over as admin and your name comes off what you added. Expiry dates count days on your calendar. Something due today no longer shows as expired in the afternoon. Deleting your account either finishes or tells you it did not. If any part fails, your account is kept so you can try again, rather than deleted with some of your data left behind. Receipt scans and recipe requests give up after a while with a plain message instead of spinning, and errors from the AI service read plainly. When your sign-in has expired, FamList says so and tells you that signing out and back in fixes it. Connection trouble reads as connection trouble.

Receipt scan now records every unit you bought. A line for three cans used to add one item instead of three. Receipt lines are matched to your shopping list more carefully. A receipt for graham crackers no longer crosses off ham, and one line can no longer cross off two different entries. Back returns where you came from. Editing your profile from a member card, or opening tonight's suggestions from Home, no longer strands you on another tab.

Receipt scanning now works end to end, plus a round of security and privacy work under the hood. In this release: • Receipt scan, fixed. Photos are now sized correctly before upload, so scanning a receipt actually stocks your pantry and crosses items off the list. If you tried this before and got an error, try it again. • Allergy filtering you can rely on. The safety check that removes recipes containing an allergen now recognizes the ingredients a recipe actually names, so a tree nut allergy catches almonds and walnuts, and a dairy allergy catches milk, butter and cheese. Gluten-free is treated as a hard restriction too. • Clearer sharing. The dietary questionnaire now says plainly that everyone in your household can see your allergies and preferences. • Better shopping list matching. Adding an item no longer crosses off an unrelated one that happened to share a few letters. • Stronger passwords on new accounts, and a verification email when you sign up. • Only household admins can empty a shared pantry or shopping list.

A redesign and a smarter pantry-to-recipe flow. In this release: • Editorial redesign. Magazine-style headers, dividers, and cover cards across the app. Cleaner, more readable, more like a household cookbook than a checklist. • QR codes for invites. Generate a QR code to invite someone to your household, or scan one on the join screen to come on board faster. • Pantry-aware recipes. Recipe ingredients now show what you already have versus what is missing, and you can bulk-add the missing items to your shopping list with one tap. • Better recipe steps. AI-generated recipes now include explicit cook times and temperatures so you are not guessing "cook until done."
