more our recovery score now uses real biometric data instead of just proxies. Connect Apple Health and Melius factors in your actual heart rate variability and resting heart rate — compared against your own personal average, not some generic number — for a recovery score that's genuinely accurate for you specifically.
Calories burned are now measured, not guessed. Once Health is connected, your daily calorie burn comes from your watch's real active energy data instead of a rough per-workout estimate.
Your weight updates itself. If you use a connected smart scale, your weight tracker now syncs automatically — no more manual entry every day.
Works with Garmin, Fitbit, and Oura too. If your device syncs to Apple Health, its data flows into Melius automatically — no separate setup needed.
A one-tap prompt now appears to help you connect Health right when you open the update, with an occasional reminder if you skip it.

WHAT'S NEW (1.9.0)
Custom App Icons
Pick your icon color in Settings > Appearance. Everyone gets Gold, Platinum, and Copper - Sol members unlock 5 exclusive finishes: Rose Gold, Gold, Emerald, Sapphire, and Magenta.
Social Challenges, upgraded
Challenge friends on steps or distance - not just workouts and sets - and back up your entry with a proof photo. Tap anyone's name on a leaderboard to see their stats, top lifts, and challenge them directly. Get notified when someone invites you or logs a new entry.
Smarter food photo logging
Tell Melius when it gets a food photo wrong and it'll re-analyze on the spot. Photos you log now actually save to your Food Photo Gallery (with a one-tap delete) instead of disappearing.
Workout history, reimagined
See your training as a calendar or a full-year heatmap instead of one long list. Search past workouts by exercise name, and use "Repeat Last Workout" to pre-fill your last session in one tap.
More accurate calorie burn
Calorie burn is now based on your actual workout duration, not a flat estimate - and logging two sessions in one day adds up correctly instead of overwriting.
Smarter weight logging
Log your weight with a drag-to-scrub scale instead of typing it in. Your maintenance calorie estimate smooths out single-day water-weight swings for a steadier number over time.
Under the hood
Fixed the workout calendar occasionally showing the wrong day, fixed a crash-causing bug when recalculating calorie goals, and added better crash recovery across the app so a hiccup on one screen won't take down the whole app.
