New on iPhone Duo: write on one page with your recent nights open beside it.
There is an hour at the end of the day when things finally settle. Vesperine is a journal for that hour.
Write freely. There are no prompts and no questions to answer, just a quiet, full-screen page. When you are finished, you commit the entry, and the Mirror reads what you wrote and offers a single reflection in return. It notices themes, undercurrents, and the questions still hanging in the writing. It observes. It never tells you what to do.
Some evenings you want to see further back than last night. Looking back gathers a few lines from your past week, or from the season, and sets them in front of you. It does not summarise them or tell you what they meant. They are your own sentences, returned exactly as you wrote them, and what they add up to is yours to decide.
On iPhone Duo, the inner display opens Tonight into a two-page spread: the page you are writing on one side, your recent nights on the other.
The Mirror runs through Apple Intelligence, so your words stay inside Apple's privacy envelope. No account. No servers. No tracking. Your journal is yours, and it syncs across your devices through iCloud. Any night can be deleted, and it is gone everywhere.
Vesperine is built to ask less of you, not more. There are no streaks to protect, no scores, no badges, and no red marks for the nights you miss. The archive simply remembers the nights you wrote. A gentle evening reminder arrives at an hour you choose, and only after you have written your first entry.
At the foot of every page is a quiet line for anyone who needs someone to talk to, any hour.
Free to use: a beautiful place to write, an archive to look back through, and your first Mirror reflection.
Vesperine Pro adds a Mirror reflection every evening and Looking back. $3.99 per month or $24.99 per year, each starting with a 7-day free trial.
Write once, at the end of the day.

iPhone Duo
On the inner display in landscape, Tonight opens into a two-page spread: the page you are writing on the left, your recent nights on the right. Every other screen settles into a calm, readable column.
Someone to talk to
At the foot of every page there is now a quiet line offering someone to talk to, any hour. If an entry says plainly that you are thinking about ending your life, Vesperine will not reflect on it. It shows a short, human message and the same support instead.
A steadier Mirror
Reflections now rest on words you actually wrote, and are less likely to repeat an entry back to you.
Delete a night
Any entry can now be deleted, from Tonight or from the Archive. It is removed everywhere, including from Looking back.
Also: Looking back reads further into a long season, and tells you when a season holds more than it can read at once.
