GrayCloud shows live rainfall amounts, intensity, and timeframes.
Our weather model ingests data from the NWS/NOAA for the United States, ECCC/MSC/NOAA for Canada, and DWD/NOAA/ECMWF for EU and process them through our forecast engine to generate minute-by-minute rain prediction and real time alerts.

This is a really convenient way to keep track of the local weather. I have found it much more accurate than the weather app that comes on my phone. And it will notify me when rain is coming, which gives me time to get my tools put away at work! This has been really helpful I would absolutely recommend
Filled the DarkSky void
Pwidds
I’ve been looking for an app similar to DarkSky ever since Apple ruined it and GrayCloud is that and more! The rain prediction is the most accurate that I’ve found and I think I’ve tried every weather app there is. The devs seem to never stopbuilding too. Excited to have stumbled upon this, highly recommend!
Great app, poor pricing practices

I used to use this app daily because of the amazing UX and lack of data collection. I was considering subscribing until I saw that the free tier was changed to no longer allow for unlimited saved locations with zero disclosure about the update. I get it - usage costs can be high - but it’s a sketchy move to try and change it and hope people don’t notice.
Dark Sky revival …

…and it almost may be even better. Such a simple interface backed with a wealth of data and information that is easy to get to. With the source data coming from the NWS it’s also super accurate. The developer is very receptive and active as well. Good stuff.
Improvements and bug fixes.
