1.3.4 Oct 15
A fresh look, a smarter map, and new ways to share your sessions.
NEW LOOK
• A cleaner, more premium design across the whole app, with a new typeface, calmer colors, and consistent cards and buttons.
MAP
• Zoom all the way out and still see where the spots are, with counts that open up as you zoom in.
• Dive sites now show individually from much farther out, so you can see every site on an island at once.
• Larger, easier to tap condition dots.
• Spots load right away when you open the app.
TAG YOUR CREW
• Add the people you were out with to any activity.
• Mention friends in your description with @username.
• Tag people when you edit a post, too.
• Get notified when someone tags you.
SMARTER LOG REMINDERS
• Reminders are only for the sports you actually do.
• No more reminders for spots you just drove past.
• New option: only remind me after a real session.
CREWS
• Unread badges and search for your crews.
• Replies in crew threads now work.
• Surf posts show wave, wind, and time.
DIVE LOG
• A faster way to pick your dive site and log your dive.
Plus radar and wave map improvements and plenty of fixes.
1.3.3 Oct 6
Crews, rebuilt
• Nearby: see recent sessions from people out at the spots near you, and the chats for the places you go
• Unread badges, so new messages from your groups and friends never slip by
• Start a direct message from anyone's profile, and tap a name in any chat to see who they are
• Group photos load instantly
• Search for people and spot chats from one place
Logging, made simple
• Tap + and pick your sport — you're logging in two taps
• A new dive log: choose your site from popular spots near you, then add visibility, conditions, depth, time and what you saw. Water temperature fills itself in from the forecast
• Add your own spot right from the map. Custom spots stay private to you and now show on your map
• A gentle reminder to log your session after you leave a spot (you can turn it off in Manage Alerts)
Better wave maps
• Sharper, more detailed wave heights near the coast, blending smoothly between forecast regions
• Swell direction arrows and a cleaner color scale
• Scrub through the forecast with one simple timeline, everywhere
Plus fixes and performance improvements throughout.
1.3.2 Oct 3

Chat is back on every spot. Tap Chat to talk with the people who go there.
Cleaner map timeline. Scrub through the day with the controls in one place.

The wind and swell compass
The Record flow (GPS activity recording)
Map UI updates
1.2.5 Sep 15
Styling changes, bug fixes
1.2.4 Aug 20
Styling and other app performance bugs fixed
1.2.2 Aug 18
• Fish Count redesigned — clearer charts, vessel pages, and named ratings.
• Kitesurfing and windsurfing conditions, with optimal-wind guidance and
kite/sail sizing for your weight.
• Higher-quality wind maps with a tap-anywhere conditions crosshair.
• Redesigned spot pages leading with photos and aerial imagery.
• Crews are now full pages — posts, comments, events, and members.
• Trail areas for hiking/running/MTB, plus route pages with distance and
elevation.
• Fixed a sign-in issue where the emailed link could fail with "cancelled" —
emails now include a code you can type in instead.
1.2.1 Aug 14
Live underwater cams
See the water before you get in. Dive spots now carry live
underwater cams — Scripps Pier in La Jolla, the Wrigley reserve
on Catalina, and Anacapa in the Channel Islands — and any card
showing a live feed is badged so you know it's happening now,
not a stock photo.
A sharper dive visibility forecast
The visibility model now reads those cams through the day, so
San Diego conditions update hour by hour instead of drifting
between dive reports. Numbers that come from a real observation
are marked as observed, so you can always tell a measurement
from an estimate — and the forecast tells you which way
visibility is heading before you make the drive.
Also new
• Routes: route pages with distance, elevation and conditions;
save routes with waypoints and photos; share one with a link
• Post about the route you actually walked — and edit posts
after publishing
• Saved lists for spots and trails
1.2.0 Aug 3
Smoother map performance and refreshed marine-reserve styling, plus bug fixes and improvements.
1.1.2 Jul 28
• Your daily report now names your favorite spots, not just your region
• Favorite a spot to get a push when it turns good
• New "rarely this good" alerts when a spot is having a rare day
• Set alerts right from any spot with the new bell
• Pro: custom alert thresholds, the full 7-day forecast, and wind & swell maps
1.1.1 Jul 24
New: Swell on the map
Wave height heatmap and animated swell arrows on the Explore map, powered by NOAA's highest resolution nearshore models. Scrub the timeline to see swell days ahead. Find it in the overlay filter.
1.1.0 Jul 20
• Marine Protected Area boundaries now show on the map for freediving and fishing. See no-take reserve lines like La Jolla Cove before you get in the water, at every zoom level.
• Much smoother map scrolling and panning, especially with freediving selected.
• Fixed a bug where a fast one-finger scroll could zoom the map out.
• Small fixes and polish throughout.
1.0.10 Jul 17
More insightful rating colors. Bug fixes and general improvements.
1.0.9 Jul 14
The crosshair got a serious upgrade.
The map crosshair now reads live forecast data for the exact spot under it, not just the nearest saved spot. Drag the map and watch wind, swell, temps, and more update in real time as you sweep the coast.
Works everywhere: check conditions at any point on the map, from the kelp beds to the backcountry
All conditions at a glance: a new expandable panel shows every variable we track, including wind, waves, swell, water temp, currents, and air quality
Smooth as glass: values roll as you pan, with zero loading spinners once an area is loaded
Performance and stability improvements
1.0.8 Jul 11
Live wind and radar maps are back and better than ever, with fresh data updating around the clock. We also fixed a bug where a spot's detail page could show slightly different conditions than its map pin. Every surface now agrees, down to the hour.
1.0.7 Jul 10
Sharper forecasts, smoother maps, and a faster way to answer the only question that matters: is it worth going?
1.0.6 Jul 3
Faster, smoother maps. We rebuilt how the map loads and renders conditions, so panning, zooming, and switching sports are quicker and more responsive across the board.
Plus the usual round of bug fixes and stability improvements.
1.0.5 Jun 30
Scrub the Explore map through time: drag the timeline and watch every spot recolor hour by hour, up to 9 days out. Plus faster map loading
1.0.4 Jun 24
Improved upgrade flows and reliability improvements.
