PRIVACY
• Your lab results and your glucose history stay on your device and are never used for marketing. We do not sell your data.

more Trend arrows now match your sensor's app
- FreeStyle Libre trend arrows (via LibreLinkUp) now follow your sensor's app exactly: Libre has no double arrows, and the diagonal arrow shows a moderate change.
GMI with up to 90 days
- GMI now uses the longest period of data available (up to 90 days) and is a GlucoLive Pro feature, calculated from the data our server keeps while the app is closed. The medical PDF report now opens at 90 days and shows how many days the GMI covers.
Adjustments
- New icon for the Labs tab (test tubes).
- Internal stability improvements.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.8 14h ago
Stability and diagnostics
- Internal improvements that help us find connection problems with your sensor and delays in the card's updates faster.
- Small code adjustments, with no change to what you see.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.7 1d ago
Report and export in your unit
- The medical PDF report and the CSV export now use the unit you chose in the app (mg/dL or mmol/L), across all ranges, averages and charts.
- CSV dates now use the yyyy-mm-dd format, which reads the same in every country.
Lab results and HbA1c in mmol/mol
- Lab results in international units (mmol/L, µmol/L, mmol/mol) now show up correctly in the charts and in the comparison with your sensor. HbA1c and GMI are also shown in mmol/mol, next to the %.
More stable sensor connection
- If Abbott asks to switch to another server region, the app and the widget now follow the notice on their own and your glucose keeps updating, instead of getting stuck.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.6 3d ago
Clearer Diary and Labs tabs
- The Diary and Labs tabs now explain what each one does: the Diary keeps insulin and meals; Labs reads your lab's PDF and shows how each result evolves.
- New tab icons and two new steps in the first-use tour.
- In Labs, you can import the PDF or add a result manually straight from the start screen.
Free 15-day Pro trial
- The free trial now starts when the app receives the first reading from your sensor (LibreLinkUp or Nightscout), not before.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.5 6d ago
More stable sensor connection
- We improved how the app keeps your sensor account connected when it is woken in the background, so the Lock Screen card keeps updating.
CarPlay
- The car screen is now updated one change at a time, to reduce rare freezes.
Internal improvements
- The close and cancel buttons on screens now use an icon instead of text.
- We now count which app screens are opened, as a number of devices, so we can prioritise improvements. This uses the same temporary code that changes every day and does not identify you — the privacy policy explains it in detail.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.4 Oct 8
More reliable alerts and report fixes.
• With Pro, your glucose alerts are now evaluated on our servers and arrive even when the app is closed.
• The Dynamic Island now respects your chosen unit (mg/dL or mmol/L), for both the value and the change.
• The Tests section is now translated to your device language.
• Hypo and hyperglycemia episodes in the report now follow the international consensus on minimum duration.
• Test results in an incompatible unit are no longer flagged as abnormal.
v3.3 Oct 1
This version improves the reliability of the glucose card on your Lock Screen.
• The app now tells our systems when Live Activities are turned off in iPhone Settings, avoiding unnecessary delivery attempts and saving battery and data.
• Internal stability improvements.
v3.2 Sep 28
Lock Screen card diagnostics
- The app now tells our server whether the card is actually active on your device. Until now we only knew that an update had been sent, never whether it appeared.
- This lets us find and fix the cases where the card stops updating for no apparent reason.
Internal improvements
- We now track how many devices are on each app version, so we can prioritise fixes. This uses a temporary code that changes every day and does not identify you — the privacy policy explains it in detail.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.1 Sep 24
Stability fixes
- Fixed a crash that could close the app while it was updating the Lock Screen card.
- The app now talks to iCloud far less often, which also prevents an unexpected shutdown.
Clearer when data is old
- On the main screen, on Apple Watch and in the Mac app, the reading now turns grey once it is more than 15 minutes old, as it already did on the Lock Screen card and the widget.
- The colour describes the current state. With no recent reading, it no longer claims a range.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v3.0 Sep 22
App lock with Face ID
- You can now require Face ID, Touch ID or your iPhone passcode to open GlucoLive, under Settings > Lock the app.
- While the app is locked, the Lock Screen card, the widget and alerts keep working as usual.
More complete report data
- Mean glucose, time in ranges and data availability in the report for your doctor now use GlucoLive's continuous monitoring, not only readings received while the app is open.
- The report states where each piece of information comes from.
Apple Health
- Under Settings > Apple Health, the app shows since when glucose data is available in Health (iOS 27).
Notice when no sensor is shared
- If your LibreLinkUp account isn't receiving data from any sensor, GlucoLive now tells you and explains what to do: accept a pending sharing invitation, or ask whoever wears the sensor to share it in the Abbott app.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v2.9 Sep 21
More reliable Lock Screen card
- iOS ends the Lock Screen card after a few hours. When it is recreated, it now keeps receiving readings without opening the app.
Notice when the sensor connection drops
- If the LibreLinkUp connection drops and the app cannot reconnect on its own, you get a notification asking you to reconnect your account.
Fewer false "no recent reading" notices
- For Pro subscribers, the late-reading notice now considers readings received by our server, not only those received while the app is open.
More accurate lab results
- Long lab reports are read in full. Previously, results near the end of a report could be left out.
- Results such as "> 60" keep their sign, and units for white cells, platelets and the white cell differential are interpreted correctly.
- A result is shown as out of range only when it falls outside the reference range printed by the laboratory itself.
- To apply these improvements to reports you already imported, import the PDF again.
Free trial
- The free trial now starts when the app receives its first sensor reading, instead of when sign-up is completed.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v2.8 Sep 16
The widget now shows how long ago the reading arrived, instead of the time it was
taken. If the data gets old, the widget dims on its own — even with the app
closed. You can tell at a glance whether the number still holds.
New refresh button on the Home Screen widget, in all three sizes. One tap rereads
the most recent reading, without opening the app.
When the free period ends, the app now tells you and explains what changes.
Previously this happened silently.
Stability fixes.
v2.7 Sep 15
Very low and very high glucose alerts now repeat every 5 minutes while the
situation continues, instead of waiting the same interval as ordinary alerts.
Routine alerts keep the interval you set.
The Lock Screen, CarPlay and Apple Watch card was redesigned: solid background,
stable size, and information that is easier to read at a glance. Tapping the
card now opens the app.
The card is clearer about readings that have gone stale, even if updates stop.
Pending LibreLinkUp invitations are now accepted automatically at sign-in,
fixing cases where no sensor appeared in the list.
Long-range statistics can now use your Apple Health history when available.
Stability fixes for CarPlay and for background data delivery.
v2.6 Sep 10
Alerts follow the limits you set
- Low, high, and critical alerts now use the values configured under Settings > Glucose Targets, the same ones that colour the screen.
- The Targets screen now states that these values determine when the app alerts you.
Out-of-date reading warning on the card
- When readings stop arriving, the Lock Screen card no longer shows the status colour: the number turns grey, with a warning beside it.
- Previously the card stayed coloured as if the value were current. The time counter remains, as before.
More resilient Live Activity
- The card now recovers on its own when its connection is lost, instead of staying frozen until you turn the Live Activity off and on in settings.
Clearer messages
- When the sensor connection requires signing in again, the app now says so instead of suggesting an internet problem.
Real-time Nightscout
- If you connect GlucoLive through Nightscout, the Lock Screen card now updates the same way it does with FreeStyle Libre. Previously it only updated while the app was open.
Other improvements
- The app returns to the Glucose tab when you come back to it after a while.
- Plus and minus buttons on the full-screen chart, to zoom without using two fingers.
- Alert snooze now lives under Settings > Alerts.
- Fixes the duplicated card on the Lock Screen and in CarPlay.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v2.5 Aug 31
15 days of GlucoLive Pro, free
- Every new sign-up starts with a full 15-day Pro trial, no credit card required.
- At the end of the period, you decide whether to continue.
In-car glucose alerts (CarPlay)
- Redesigned CarPlay screen — easier to read while driving.
- Turn on in-car voice under Settings > Alerts: the same low, high, and critical alerts you already configured are spoken through the car speakers whenever CarPlay is connected.
Settings
- Night period schedule now uses a time picker instead of a drag slider.
- Small stability fixes.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v2.4.3 Aug 22
A more complete diary
- Carb logging, right alongside your insulin log, in one place.
- Meal marker directly on the charts.
Full-screen chart
- Zoom, navigation, and a labeled Y axis.
- Long ranges (30 and 90 days) are easier to read.
More precise metrics
- GMI no longer shows as "≈ HbA1c" — they are different measurements, and each is now labeled for what it is.
- Below/above range now shows two severity levels instead of one combined number.
- Sensor coverage indicator for the selected period.
Visual fixes
- Light theme fixes (welcome tour, header labels).
- Small dashboard refinements.
GlucoLive is a diary to follow your data and share it with your doctor. It does not replace your sensor's app or professional guidance.
v2.4.2 Aug 11
Your Live Activity now comes back on its own.
Before, if the glucose card disappeared from your Lock Screen, it would only return if you opened the app and toggled a setting. Now it recovers by itself — nothing for you to do.
Duplicate card in CarPlay: fixed. In some cases your glucose appeared twice, overlapping, on the car display. Resolved.
If you already subscribe to Pro, you no longer see the subscription screen when reconnecting your sensor.
Behind-the-scenes stability improvements.

v2.4.1 Aug 6
This release focuses on reliability — several improvements came from user reports.
More trustworthy timing: the Live Activity now shows how long ago your reading was taken and keeps counting on its own, so you can tell at a glance whether the data is current.
More stable background updates: we fixed an issue that could stop automatic updates until the app was opened again.
New "no signal" alert: GlucoLive notifies you when it stops receiving readings, so you don't trust a screen that stopped updating. It's a technical app notice (you can turn it off in Settings) and doesn't replace your sensor app's alarms.
Your Live Activity display preferences are no longer lost during the day.
Simpler lock screen card: a single setting now controls whether it shows full (with chart) or compact.
Revised onboarding, and it no longer asks for your details again when you reconnect your sensor.
Thanks for using GlucoLive — and a genuine thank you to everyone who writes in to report problems. That's how the app gets better. Questions or feedback: contact@glucolive.app
