• New free plan: make genograms of up to 10 people and export PNG and PDF (with a "Free version" watermark) before choosing a plan. • Print-ready PDF export: paper sizes, multi-page tiling for large families, black and white, and a live preview. • Reorganised toolbar (Edit, Add, View, Guide), larger symbols and clearer labels. • Fixes and polish.

Import JSON and Import GEDCOM now always open the file picker. Thanks to the person who reported it.

• Tutorials on the home screen: swipe through short narrated videos and tap to watch. • New tutorials library with every video plus 22 step-by-step guides, from adding ethnicity and medical history to adoption, divorce and exporting. New lessons appear automatically. • Fixed: on iPhone, opening a toolbar menu no longer brings up the keyboard. • Fixed: a child marked as adopted or fostered now shows a dashed line.

• A cleaner subscription screen: the plans, the trial and the price are on one screen • The trial screen shows the exact date your first charge happens • Optional reminder before your free trial ends, so the renewal never comes as a surprise • Restore Purchases, Terms and Privacy are at the bottom of the subscription screen

• Video tutorials: ten short narrated videos on the basics, right from the dashboard • Faster, smoother canvas on large families • Better layout on iPhone, including landscape and larger iPhones • Long-press a person on iPhone for quick options • Settings now shows your free-trial end date and renewal price in your currency • Upgrading from Standard to Unlimited now takes effect immediately • Fixes: keyboard shortcuts on iPad, Add Sibling placement, group colours and labels, medical notes keeping spaces, Find Person focus, exported files named after your genogram, and more • Improved VoiceOver support on the canvas

What's new in 1.2.4 • Clinical notation upgrades: McGoldrick-style medical shading, loss marks (miscarriage, abortion, stillbirth), new relationship types (remarriage, ended affairs, influence) and clearer fused-line colours. • Smarter layout: remarriages, sibling birth order, children dropping from the right couple, line crossings with hops, emotional lines that route around people, and cleaner household outlines. • Editing: type an age or a year, label sizes S to XL, quick-add rename, distribute evenly, background regions with borders and labels. • Import and export: more reliable GEDCOM import (older file encodings, alternate names, large files), fixed SVG export, bigger dashboard previews. • New one-tap "Report a problem" so you can reach us straight from the app. • Many fixes and speed improvements.

Clearer subscription management: - Settings now has a Manage or Cancel Subscription button for everyone, with the steps to cancel written out underneath. - The subscription screen now says exactly what happens when the free trial ends: the plan you pick starts automatically and renews every year unless you cancel.

iPhone improvements to connecting people: - The quick-connect menu now shows a label on every button, so it is always clear what each one does. - Drawing emotional and relationship lines is smoother: the person you start from stays in view, people you can connect to are highlighted as you drag, and on-screen hints guide you through it. Plus stability and polish fixes throughout.

Fixes for problems some of you ran into: • A genogram could report itself as corrupted and offer only to move it to the trash. It no longer does, and files affected by this now open normally. • Hiding a person or a relationship dimmed the whole canvas — and anything you exported — to a quarter opacity. Fixed. • Large genograms could export as a solid black page. Fixed. • The Family Report and export screens showed the wrong product name. • The Adoptive Family template placed one relative in the wrong position.

iPhone support. The editor, dashboard and inspector were rebuilt for a phone rather than scaled down: a contextual bottom toolbar, a pull-up inspector that keeps the person you tapped in view, and a canvas that opens fitted to your family. Also in this release: • 37 new templates — clinical patterns, family structures, cultural systems and historical families (48 in total) • The relationship key now matches the canvas exactly; several symbols and line styles were corrected • Fixed the age shown at death, and an age you enter yourself is now always the one shown • Dates follow your region, with a Settings option to choose the order yourself • Added a name order setting • Fixed a bug that stopped the Mac app from recognising an active subscription • Your subscription keeps working when the App Store can't be reached, instead of locking you out • Restore Purchases is now in Settings and tells you what it found • Fixed printing on Mac

• Fixed a bug where exporting a large genogram to PDF or print-quality PNG produced a solid black page. Large family trees now export correctly, at the highest resolution your device can render.

• New interactive tutorial — watch the app build a family with you, step by step • Back up your entire library to a single file and restore it anywhere (Settings → Backup) • Refreshed look: new templates browser, cleaner dashboard, light appearance by default with dark mode in Settings • Browse the app freely before subscribing — the paywall now appears when you open the editor • Fixes: crash when opening large templates, dark-mode readability, connection drag direction, and duplicate hover labels
