A calmer to-do list.
B&W To-Do is a quiet, focused home for everything you need to do — designed in strict black and white, so nothing competes with the task in front of you.
TODAY
Open to exactly what matters today, with anything overdue surfaced gently at the top. Add a to-do in a single tap, and check it off with a clean, satisfying sweep.
CALENDAR
A hand-built monochrome month, with a quiet dot on every day that has something planned. Tap a day to see it — or drag a to-do to a new date to reschedule.
PROJECTS & GROUPS
Keep things tidy with groups like Work and Personal. For bigger goals, build a Project with sections, a deadline, and a progress ring that fills as you go.
CHECKLISTS, REMINDERS & REPEATS
Break any to-do into a checklist. Get a reminder at the time, or an hour before. Repeat it daily, weekly, monthly — or on a schedule of your own.
IPHONE, IPAD & iCLOUD
Now on iPhone and iPad, kept perfectly in step with iCloud. A home-screen widget keeps today in view, and you can set the app icon in black or white to match your Home Screen.
DESIGNED TO DISAPPEAR
No colour. No clutter. No noise. Just your day, in black and white — with full light and dark support.
more Repeating to-dos now keep their deadline on every new occurrence, and Undo for a deleted checklist item works every time inside the to-do editor. Small fixes for a calmer day.
1.3.31 1d ago
Undo is always there when you need it, even inside lists and projects, and checklist items can be undone too. To-Do now rolls over to the new day at midnight, projects reorder with the same smooth drag as everywhere else, and Settings has a new Daily summary switch. Plus calmer, more consistent details across iPhone, iPad and Mac.
1.3.30 5d ago
A polish pass across iPhone, iPad and Mac. Everything reads well at large text sizes, buttons and headers match on every screen, and To-Do now asks before throwing away unsaved edits or deleting a section or shopping item. Sync is faster too: changes reach Apple Reminders, your Apple Watch and widgets right away.
1.3.29 6d ago
Drag to-dos on iPad: hold a to-do and drop it on a group, project or calendar day to move it, with Undo if you change your mind. New: add a "New to-do" button to Control Centre, the Lock Screen or the Action Button, and jump straight to typing.
1.3.28 Oct 9
Small refinements and fixes, with fresh App Store previews.
1.3.27 Oct 7
A consistency pass across iPhone, iPad and Mac, so every screen speaks the same language. Groups, projects and shopping lists now use the same words to add, edit and delete. Every Mac sheet has a title and a close button, and Esc closes confirmations. Settings' sub-screens match its title style, the Pro screen has a close button, and long-pressing a group, project or list in Organize gives you the same edit menu as the sidebar. Plus matching buttons, chevrons and spacing throughout, steadier sizing at large text, and smoother, consistent motion.
1.3.26 Oct 6
A layout and motion polish across iPhone, iPad and Mac. Swiping away a whole group, project or shopping list now asks first on iPhone, like it does on iPad and Mac. Titles stay clear of the buttons at large text sizes, and the calendar, tab bar and Organize cards no longer get cut off. Projects gets its own + in Organize. Back buttons name where you came from. The editor's extra rows slide in smoothly, the search palette closes as smoothly as it opens, the app fades in straight from the splash, and Reduce Motion is respected everywhere. Plus a tidier shopping list, calmer empty states and one clean line under the calendar.
1.3.25 Oct 3
Smoother everyday use on iPhone, iPad and Mac. To-Do opens straight away on first launch. In the to-do editor, tap anywhere on a row to change it, and if you close a to-do you've typed or edited, To-Do asks before throwing your changes away. Today, your widgets and Apple Watch now list to-dos in the same order. Widget rows are one tidy size, showing as many as fit with the rest in "+N more". Widgets, Watch and reminders also stay up to date with changes from your other devices, even when To-Do is closed.
1.3.24 Oct 1
A big polish release across iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch. Lock Screen widgets are redesigned with a progress ring and your next to-dos, matching the Watch. Location reminders' Complete and Snooze buttons now work, and a reminder clears from Notification Centre once you tick the to-do off. Siri adds to the right group and ticks off the right to-do. On iPad, pickers open in full and the sidebar matches the Mac. On Mac, a tidier toolbar, a Help menu that opens the how-to, and Settings sheets that fit their window. Plus calendar, search, groups, projects, shopping lists and settings all line up just so.
1.3.23 Sep 29
More quiet polish across iPhone, iPad and Mac. Press and hold (or right-click) a group, project or list in the sidebar to rename or delete it. iPad now shows pointer hover highlights, every date picker shares one calendar, and menus, chips and animations are more consistent and smoother throughout.
1.3.22 Sep 26
Another round of quiet polish. Changes sync across your devices faster, every date and number picker now matches, confirmation dialogs are tidier with no wasted space, and every list pulls down to refresh.
1.3.21 Sep 24
A small polish pass: on/off switches now read clearly at a glance, in both light and dark.
1.3.20 Sep 23
Another round of quiet polish. Flagging a to-do now feels the same on every screen, the app honours Reduce Motion and Dynamic Type more fully, VoiceOver reads multi-select rows and the widgets clearly, and your Apple Watch keeps changes made offline instead of flip-flopping.
1.3.19 Sep 21
Another round of polish. Motion across the app now shares one calm, consistent feel — and honours Reduce Motion end to end if you use it. Overdue and scheduled to-dos stay in the same order on every device, and on iPad the Organize tab is now a clean overview of your day instead of repeating the sidebar.
1.3.18 Sep 17
A polish pass that makes everyday actions feel better. Completing a to-do is now crisp and tactile, empty screens are cleaner and centred, and the tab bar is lighter so your list flows behind it. Pull-to-refresh is smoother, headings line up consistently across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and scheduled to-dos now appear on the home-screen widget as soon as their day arrives.
1.3.17 Sep 16
A consistency pass across iPhone, iPad, and Mac: the same clean monochrome calendar everywhere you pick a date, a modern date picker on iPad and Mac, and refinements to menus, spacing, and accessibility throughout.
1.3.15 Sep 14
A polish pass: spacing, headings, and the completion circle now line up consistently across iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with small refinements throughout.
1.3.14 Sep 12
On Apple Watch, completing a to-do now clears it from your list right away for a cleaner glance — no leftover rows. Plus small refinements.
1.3.13 Sep 11
Apple Watch: completing or adding a to-do now syncs reliably to all your devices, and the complication stays accurate as a new day begins.
New on the watch: a progress-ring complication and an agenda widget.
Smoother date reordering, and an easier date picker on Mac.
Plus refinements and fixes throughout.
1.3.12 Sep 10
New: get reminded about a to-do when you arrive at or leave a place, and add tags to group to-dos across all your lists and projects — then filter by a tag, or just type #tag in search. Plus a deep polish pass: sharper, more consistent screens on iPhone, iPad and Mac, better large-text support, and a cleaner Today.
1.3.11 Sep 7
Your Pro unlock now reliably carries across a reinstall and to your other devices. Plus a round of quiet polish — more consistent screens throughout, and a cleaner Today and Organize.
1.3.10 Sep 5
Opening a to-do's checklist now unfolds smoothly, right where it sits. Setting a time is its own step, the month calendar is cleaner, the iPad layout is tidier, and pull-to-refresh is calmer. Plus a fix for a rare freeze when a hardware keyboard is connected.
1.3.9 Sep 4
Fixes a freeze some devices could hit on launch, gets your Mac syncing both ways (adds and completions from iPhone or iPad now reach the Mac live), and makes Pro activate across all your devices automatically.
1.3.7 Sep 3
• Search is now one tap away from every screen on iPhone — start it right from Today or Calendar.
• Reorder your projects on Mac by dragging them in the sidebar.
• A cleaner, more consistent look across iPhone, iPad, and Mac.
