Remote turns any Apple device into a generic Bluetooth keyboard, trackpad, and media remote for iOS, macOS, PC and all other platforms that support Bluetooth HID input
Remote is a fully open-source universal serverless Bluetooth HID remote control that turns any iPhone, iPad, or Mac into a Bluetooth keyboard, trackpad, and media remote
It works using HID over GATT and is compatible with all platforms that accept generic Bluetooth input. This includes the following:
- iOS and iPadOS
- macOS
- tvOS
- Linux (and SteamOS)
- Windows
- ChromeOS
- Other platforms that support Bluetooth input
Since it presents itself as a regular Bluetooth keyboard and mouse (HID over GATT), nothing needs to be installed on the device you control. Pair once from the host's Bluetooth settings and start typing.
It features:
- Trackpad: tap to click, two-finger tap for right click, two-finger scroll, dedicated mouse buttons
- Keyboard: live typing, supports special keys and modifiers keys
- Media: play/pause, rewind, fast-forward, volume controls, mute
Additionally, it allows you to scan nearby devices with signal strength and manufacturer information.
Remote is under the AGPL-3.0 license at https://github.com/jqssun/darwin-bt-remote
