Great app with caveat
If you use your computer instead of TV for entertainment, then this app is for you. Laid back in your comfy chair or sprawled out in bed Unified Remote acts as mouse and keyboard in one universal remote. Want to blast some music on your computer while cleaning the house / apartment, just carry your phone w you w UR on it and u don’t have to hurry back to computer when a crappy song comes on. But what pisses me off with the app is first it drops the connection too often and second, Full-Version status does not automatically restore itself when you re-download the app - one of the suggested fixes for dropped connections.
An excellent app
This is the best of the remote apps in my opinion. Simply, clean, and easy to set up and understand. The UF program on the computer runs automatically so once you’ve got it set up (takes five min max), you can always just pick the computer from the list in the app, and you’re golden. I think that makes it a little more efficient than BlueTooth as well.
I’ve read the other reviews but I have never once had a problem with dropped connections or any of the other complaints, and I’ve had this app for years.
The free version very generously has pretty much everything you could need, and the pro version just adds a lot of things for convenience’s sake. Seriously, a big thanks to the devs, this app deserves 5 stars all around
Perfect for controlling your pc that’s in viewing distance but not arms reach
I often put on a video and watch a video on my computer from my bed which works fine, but if I wanted to say skip a ad or rewind the video, I’d have to get up (Ik the horror) but this allows for very fast connectivity and has a surprising amount of customization there are other tools but I mainly have a need for mouse and keyboard actions. There are similar tools that work about the same, except they also usually show the display in the app as well which causes more latency and connection time, which when trying to pause a video or skip a ad is unwanted.
