PhotoCore
Perfect light for photography
$0.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Perfect light doesn't happen by chance. PhotoCore tells you when, where, and how to shoot with the best natural light of the day.
PhotoCore is the essential tool for photographers who want to master natural light. Know exactly when to shoot, anywhere in the world.
REAL-TIME SOLAR LIGHT
Get precise times for sunrise, sunset, golden hour, blue hour, and civil twilight — calculated for your GPS location or any city in the world. Plan your session with dual times: local time and destination time side by side.
PHOTOGRAPHIC LIGHT QUALITY
PhotoCore analyzes the sun's physical intensity, real cloud cover, and gives you a photographic light quality index in real time. It automatically detects the best windows of the day for shooting and alerts you when conditions are ideal.
WEATHER FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS
Humidity, wind, and UV index interpreted for photography. Know if haze will soften the light, if wind will affect long exposures, or if UV will create unwanted haze.
PROFESSIONAL CALCULATORS
• Depth of Field — Calculate hyperfocal distance, near and far limits for Full Frame, APS-C, and Micro 4/3
• ND Filters — Convert shutter speeds with up to 12 stops of filtration
• Interactive Solar Compass — Visualize the sun's arc and plan the direction of light in your scene
• Shadow Simulator — Calculate shadow length and direction based on sun elevation
