New Contacts card: keep your buyers, vet, AI tech, stock agent and shearer in one place, and tap a number to ring them. Their names come up when you sell animals or add a sale. Plus yarding and weighing lists for any herd: tick-box sheets with last weights, ready to copy into a spreadsheet.

Garden and orchard jobs. Add jobs for your veggie patch and fruit trees - sowing, watering, feeding, pruning - and see them on each crop. Spraying something? Note the product and how many days before picking, and My Block Hand will remind you when it's safe to harvest.

Faster saving on slow connections. Products & Chemicals now shows as a short, searchable list, and tracks stock on hand: record a purchase with its batch, expiry and cost, and stock goes down as you record treatments, with low-stock and expiry warnings. You can also record breeding dates and pregnancy-check results for a whole group at once.

Fix a treatment or test result with Edit. Sort the All animals table by any column and see just the animals you have now. Add a product's label dose rate and the app checks each dose against the animal's last weight. And you can now change your farm name and size in Settings.

Record a vet visit or anything worth remembering with a date, category and details, on one animal, a whole herd or the ones you tick. Notes sit in each animal's Records beside its treatments. Also: find and sort animals when recording a treatment, products grouped by category, and an easier way to record a hatch.

Menu fixes: sections you’ve switched off (like NAIT or NLIS) no longer show in the menu, and the full menu now scrolls clear of the bottom bar.

Small fixes and improvements. The subscription screen now always shows the right price, even when your phone can't reach the App Store for a moment (on patchy rural signal, for example).

More than one photo per animal, lab reports on test results, and a breeder sheet you can share. Photos & documents: each animal now keeps up to 30 photos and PDFs. Photos at different ages, registration papers, vet letters. Caption and date them, and pick which one is the main photo. Lab reports: attach the photo or PDF of a lab result to the test result it belongs to, including results you've already recorded. Breeder sheet: a clean one-page sheet for an animal to send to a buyer or another breeder. Photo, registration, parentage, pedigree, test results and offspring, with your farm name on it. It leaves out your notes, treatments and prices. The full record now includes test results and photos too.

Soil, garden and orchard records, plus a few fixes. Soil & fertility: record a soil test for a paddock or any area of the block, attach the lab report as a photo or PDF, and see each figure against your last test. Log compost, manure or fertiliser as you put it on. The cost goes into Finances, and any stock-off days show on the paddock. Garden and Orchard: add your crops by variety, record plantings and harvests, and see what's ready soon and how this year's harvest compares with last year's. Sales and costs can be put against a crop in Finances. Selling is easier to find: Sell on the herd card, and the income form, now take you straight to Sell animals. Fixes: Log Rain now closes after you save, like Log Eggs. + Break from Quick capture no longer shows the strip-grazing help while your farm is still loading.

Selling, leasing, and one safety fix. Sell animals: on a herd's page, tick the animals that went, put in the date, buyer and price (for the lot or per head), and the app retires each one as sold with its share of the price and adds one livestock sale to Finances. No more doing it one animal at a time. Lease ended: a new way to record an animal leaving. Use it for a leased-in ram or bull that has gone home. He comes off your active herd, stays in the sire list for the lambs and calves that are his, and Return to herd brings the same record back next season instead of creating him again. Tapping a treatment reminder now opens that animal's records, not the editing screen.

Fixes found on our own farm. Pasture: a check with only a leaf stage is saved as a leaf check, not a cover of 0. A blank plate meter box no longer makes up a cover. Treatments: picking a product fills in the treatment type. Repeat every fills in the Due again date as you type. Recording a treatment now ticks off the matching job, and if the job covered more animals than you treated, it stays open for the rest. Today's Brief: tap a row in Animal Health to open that animal or herd. Paddocks: dates show in your format, a paddock with stock in it no longer shows rest days, and the break fence wording now matches what happens.

Fixes for patchy signal, and a better pedigree editor. Stay signed in on poor signal. If the app couldn't reach your account when you opened it, it could sign you out, and logging back in could lose records your phone hadn't sent yet. Now you stay signed in, a note says the account couldn't be reached, and the app tries again when signal returns. Anything saved on your phone is kept and sent. Edit pedigree on a phone. The edit boxes now show as one list, each named in full (Sire, Dam, Sire's dam and so on). Treatments: picking a product opens the withholding section so you can see the days it filled in. Vet record on a phone: treatment and condition tables fit the screen, with withholding in view. Breeding: matings where the male ran with the females show their full window, and the sire and dam lists put the likely parents first.

Fixes and small improvements for blocks everywhere. Job due dates now stick. If you changed the due date on a job and saved, it could jump back to the old date. That's fixed, and "Due again" now follows the new due date. Herd profile: Feed out. Tap Feed out on a herd's profile to record feed straight against that herd. More countries. South Africa is now an option when you sign up, with provinces and rand currency. Dates in your own order. US users now see month/day/year. Plainer wording. Outside New Zealand and Australia, the treatment field now reads "Meat withdrawal" instead of "Meat (ESI)".

Biosecurity, a feed planner, and your whole animal history in the spreadsheet. Biosecurity and quarantine. Animals or Flocks > Biosecurity & quarantine. When new or returning animals or birds arrive, start a countdown: it shows the day on Today's Brief and puts the end date on your calendar, so the reminder comes and finds you. There's also a short checklist that only shows what fits your block, and you can copy it as your biosecurity plan. How many days of feed are left? If you record what you feed out, the Feed store now works out your usual rate and how many days your feed will last. Export your whole animal history. The Excel export now has sheets for treatments, health checks and weights, births, and every breeding milestone. Test results on an animal. Record DNA, disease tests, trait measurements and EBVs against the animal, with the lab and reference number. Invite a friend. Settings > Invite a friend gives you a link to share with someone on a block. Fixes: the exotic disease hotline now shows as MPI writes it (0800 809 966), and saving is more reliable when two devices save at the same moment.

Tidier breeding records, a loss log for your flocks, and delete for treatment records. Link lambs you've already added. If you added lambs as animals before recording the lambing, My Block Hand now offers to link them to the birth instead of making new ones. The birth date comes from the lambs themselves, and nothing is duplicated. Expected lambing date now follows the mating date when you change it, and the Record lambing form no longer suggests a date that's months out. One reminder per job. The jabs and tailing you record on the lambs are no longer asked for again on the ewe's milestones. Record the same vaccination twice on one day and it still counts as one jab. Record a flock loss. A new "Record a loss" on every flock logs how many birds, when, and the cause if you know it. The flock count comes down, the history stays, and you can see losses over the last 12 months. If you lose several birds, the app shows the MPI exotic disease hotline (0800 80 99 66). Delete a treatment. Open a treatment on an animal's Records tab and choose Delete. If the same entry was saved on several animals at once, you can remove it from all of them in one go.

An evening reminder, and a better look at your egg records. Evening reminder. Choose a time, 6pm by default, and you'll get one notification on days something is still open: eggs not logged yet, a job due today, an animal due to give birth. Quiet days stay quiet. Turn it on from the question on Today's Brief, or in Settings under Evening reminder. Tap a day on the egg calendar to see that day's eggs. Every collection is listed, any pen that hasn't been logged is named, and you can add eggs for that day from there. Broken or eaten eggs. Record how many eggs were broken or eaten, in the egg form or in quick egg entry (tick "Also count broken or eaten eggs"). They're kept separate, so your egg totals and cost per egg aren't changed.

Your animals and your egg records, easier to look back on. Egg calendar. Flocks > Egg records now shows the month as a calendar, with each day's egg count. Days with nothing logged stand out, so a missed day is easy to spot. When you're looking at all flocks, a day where only some pens were logged shows as "2 of 4". Tap any day to enter or fix that day's eggs. It follows the month and flock you've picked. Sold and died animals, in one place. The Animals screen now shows "Sold & died" with a count. Tap it for the full list, newest first, and open any animal's profile from there. Return to herd. If an animal was marked as died, sold or lost by mistake, its profile now has a Return to herd button. The old exit stays in its records as "undone", so nothing is lost. A sale already entered in Finances isn't changed, and the app tells you so. The exit form starts clean. It used to open with the last animal's details still filled in. Also in this update: recording a birth from the Lambing, Calving or Kidding milestone, the app asking when an animal is due, and day counts that are correct again after the clocks changed.

Recording births, easier to find. Record a birth where you're already looking. On an animal's Breeding tab, the Lambing, Calving or Kidding milestone now has a Record button that opens the birth form. Ticking that milestone used to mark it done without recording any young, which was easy to mistake for recording them. Once the young are recorded, the milestone ticks itself. The app now asks. From a week before an animal's due date, and after it, you'll see a question like "Has Princess lambed?" on her profile and in a new "Due to give birth" section on Today's Brief. One tap opens her birth form. Animals past their due date no longer drop off the home screen. Fewer double-ups. If an animal already has a birth recorded close to the date you're entering, the form tells you and names the young, so the same birth isn't recorded twice. Adding a newborn on its own now reminds you to record it on its mother instead, so the two stay linked. Deleting a breeding record now also takes its birth off the mother's history. The young stay on your farm. Day counts fixed. After the clocks changed, "days ago", "days overdue" and paddock rest days were one day short. They count correctly again.

Clearer messages, tidier forms. Clearer messages when something can't be saved. If your account can't save a change, the app now tells you straight away that it hasn't been saved, keeps what you typed on screen, and shows your records exactly as they are stored. It never claims a change is waiting to sync when it isn't. Tidier forms. Dropdowns in forms, like choosing a flock or a method, are now the same size as every other field, with a clear arrow. Updated Privacy Policy. It now explains the small amount of usage information the app keeps to fix problems and improve it, and confirms there are no advertising trackers.

Record the time you actually did it. Break feeding. Moved the fence first thing and only got round to recording it later? When you record a move to the next break, you can now set the date and time it really happened. Leave them as they are and it's recorded as now, one tap like before. The rest clock on the ground behind the herd starts from the time you choose. Recorded the last one at the wrong time? Undo it on the paddock card and record it again. A date fix that goes with it: "Last shifted" showed yesterday's date for any move made before midday. It shows the right day now. Equipment. Record a warranty on any machine: when the cover ends, who to ring, and a photo of the receipt or invoice, kept sharp enough to read the small print. The card tells you when cover is running out, with 60 days' notice, so there's time to book a claim in. Tidier screens. The close button sits in the top corner of pop-up screens instead of beside the title. On the incubation screen, "Remove" no longer runs off the edge of a batch, and "Hatched" is green so it no longer looks like a warning.

Buttons that couldn't do anything have stopped appearing. Record sheets. The Print button was never going to work in the app — the browser engine inside the app accepts a print request and quietly does nothing with it. It was meant to be hidden here and wasn't, so it sat there looking like a way to get your record onto paper. It's gone from the app now, and "Copy full record" only appears when there is a full record to copy. On a computer, Print still works exactly as it did. Subscription. If you already subscribe, the screen no longer offers you subscription options you've already taken. And where it tells you your subscription is managed, it now names the one place it actually lives rather than listing two and leaving you to guess. Signing up. Tapping Terms of Service or Privacy Policy used to take the form away with everything you'd typed in it. Both now open on top of the form; close them and your details are exactly where you left them. There's also a Confirm password box, because a typo in a password you can't see is a locked-out account and an email to us. None of this is new farm kit — it's four places where the app said one thing and did another. More livestock and poultry work is on the way.

Clearer deletes, and treatment records that keep their detail. This build carries v152.4.475. The last one carried v152.4.473. KNOW WHAT A DELETE KEEPS Deleting an animal, a paddock or a product now tells you exactly what happens before you agree to it: what goes with it, and what stays on file. Money you recorded against it stays in Finances, with the total shown, and reads "deleted" afterwards instead of looking like a broken link. Deleting an animal that is still on your block suggests recording how it left instead, so its whole history is kept. Deleting a paddock says how many animals are in it and what happens to them, and that grazing moves, jobs, feed and pasture readings stay. TREATMENT RECORDS KEEP THEIR ACTIVE INGREDIENTS If you delete a product from your register, every treatment that used it keeps the product name, the withholding periods and now the active ingredients too - so a treatment record still answers "what was in it?" years later. UNDER THE HOOD The app now tells us which version saved your records. Nothing about your farm is shared - it helps us know when everyone is on a version that is safe for the next feature: tracking stock and cost for your drenches, vaccines and sprays.

Finances, rebuilt - and one less thing to type twice. The last store build carried v152.4.466. This one carries v152.4.473, and nearly all of it is money: the Finances screen, what a transaction remembers about where it came from, and two places where you were entering the same thing twice. THE MONEY SCREEN Four views on one period control - Overview, Transactions, Performance and Invoices. Choose This month, Last month, This year or your own date range once, and every view answers for that period. Three figures at the top: money in, money out, and the difference. They are not repeated further down the page. WHERE A TRANSACTION CAME FROM A transaction that another part of the app created now says so, and opens the record behind it. A feed purchase opens the purchase. A service opens the machine. A sale opens the animal or flock it came from. No internal reference numbers anywhere. EQUIPMENT: WHAT IT HAS ACTUALLY COST YOU Enter a purchase price and choose whether it also goes into Finances. Your choice, every time, and never automatic - an older record may already have that expense typed in by hand, and inventing a second one would be inventing money you never spent. From then on the equipment record adds up what you have spent and received on it: purchase, servicing, repairs, parts, and any income if you pass it on. One figure, plainly labelled, and it tells you whether the purchase came from Finances or from the equipment record itself. This is what you have actually spent - not a valuation. If a purchase price looks like something already in Finances, you are asked before anything is created: link the one that is there, or add a new one. Nothing is merged behind your back. FEED STORE: FIX A TYPO WITHOUT LOSING THE RECORD Feed records can be edited at last. Change a price, a quantity, a date, a supplier or who it was for, and the linked transaction follows - the same transaction, corrected, never a second one. Feeding out still only moves stock and can never create a cost. That is the rule the whole feed system is built on, and it is now impossible to get around rather than merely discouraged. Purchases that were never added to Finances stay that way unless you say otherwise, and there is a button for when you do. The full feed history is reachable and editable now, not just the last six entries. EGGS, THE SAME WAY EVERYWHERE Every quick route to logging eggs opens the same sheet: each laying flock listed, today's count beside it, and a plus and minus for each. No picking a flock from a list before you can type a number. SALES SHOW ON THE ANIMAL AGAIN An animal recorded as sold now shows that sale on its own record. Some earlier sales were only ever visible in Finances. They are all back where they belong, with nothing re-entered and nothing lost. SMALLER THINGS - Money no longer breaks across two lines on a narrow phone. - Close buttons sit where you expect them on the Equipment, Service, Feed and egg screens. - Deleting a record now tells you exactly what happens to the money and the stock before you agree to it. - Editing a transaction can no longer quietly disagree with the record that created it.

Poultry, rebuilt - and twenty-one releases in one. The last store build was fifteen versions behind the web app. This one catches up, and most of it is poultry. THE FLOCKS SCREEN Reordered around the daily job. Today's egg collection first, then your four numbers - eggs this month, cost per egg, poultry net, total birds - then six labelled routes: egg records, cost per egg, poultry finance, incubation, bird sales and processing. All six are listed whether or not you have used them. Bird sales used to be invisible until you had already recorded one. TODAY'S EGGS, IN ONE PASS Tap Today and every laying flock gets its own counter on one sheet. One save, whatever you are carrying. The counters add to the day rather than replacing it, so a morning and an afternoon collection are two records, not a correction - and anything already recorded is listed underneath, tap to change it. A PROFILE FOR EACH FLOCK Tap a flock card and you get its own screen: Overview, Records, Money and Details. Performance - birds, eggs over seven and thirty days, eggs per bird, cost per egg, age, hatched, processed. A timeline of everything recorded against that flock, filterable. In, out, net and cost per egg for that flock alone. The cards themselves are one line each now, so a screen with six flocks on it is readable. TREAT A WHOLE COOP, AND KEEP THE EGGS STRAIGHT New: record a treatment against a flock, with the egg withholding days off the label. The app counts them down and tells you on the flock card, on Today's Brief, and - the one that matters - on the egg log itself, on the day, while you are standing there with the basket. It warns rather than blocks: the hens laid them and your records should say so. REPORTS THAT STATE THEIR OWN SCOPE Cost per egg, poultry finance and egg records are full screens now, each with year, month and flock filters, each showing the division that produced the figure. Cost per egg splits feed from everything else, because for most people feed is nearly all of it. FINISH A FLOCK, DON'T DELETE IT A run of layers ends, a batch goes in the freezer - and the season's records are the useful part. Finishing a flock retires it and keeps every egg record, cost, processing record, feed log and incubation batch, and tells you how many of each before you press it. Delete is only offered for a flock with nothing recorded against it. BREEDING MILESTONES YOU CAN ACTUALLY TICK The milestone list on an animal's Breeding tab is a worksheet now, not a report. Tick a pregnancy check or a birth where you see it. Only the checkbox records anything - the name and the date are safe to tap. And the dates after a birth now count from the birth you actually recorded, not from the date it was due. An animal that gives birth a fortnight late takes its follow-up dates with it. ONE FORM PER RECORD Breeding had grown two forms that recorded different things. There is one now - the one that can record a male running with a group over a date range, which is how most small farms actually breed. The animal editor has lost its drawer of buttons and its registration fields; both live on the animal itself, where you read everything else about it. SYNC STOPPED LOSING RECORDS Two devices, same animal, each adding a different treatment - one of them used to disappear on the next sync, and any withholding date with it. Every record now merges by its own identity. An afternoon's work on a phone and a laptop both survive. Built on a lifestyle block in Northland, New Zealand.

This is the largest update since launch. Finding an animal, reading it and recording on it have all been rebuilt around one idea: tapping an animal should let you read it, not edit it. THE ANIMAL PROFILE Tapping an animal used to open a 23-field form. Now it opens a profile - Overview, Records, Breeding, Details - with the next thing that animal needs at the top. The full editor is still there, one tap away under Details. FIND ANY ANIMAL Search the Animals screen by name, tag, herd, breed, species, class, registration, NAIT, NLIS, microchip or DNA number. Animals that have left the farm stay out of the results until you ask for them. RECORD WITHOUT OPENING THE EDITOR Treatment, Weight & condition, Breeding and Birth each save on their own now. Before this you opened an animal's editor, added the record to a pending list, and had to remember to press Save - and if you didn't, the record was gone. Recording a treatment across a whole herd works the same way, from the herd card. ONE NUMBER, ONE MEANING The "due" badge on a herd card and the Next actions list underneath it counted different things and disagreed on the same screen. They now count the same population: animals that need something. A treatment finished two years ago no longer counts forever. Breeding status, "due soon", and weight and condition trends are now read from one place everywhere they appear - so the herd card, the animal, the dashboard and the printed record can't tell you different things about the same animal. HERD NAMES CAN CHANGE A herd used to be identified by its name, so renaming one could strand its history. Herds now have an identity of their own. Rename freely. THE HERD PROFILE Tap a herd for Overview, Animals, Breeding and Activity - what the herd is, who is in it, what's due, and what has actually been recorded on it. PEDIGREE, PRINTING AND SHARING Pedigree now reads properly on a phone: sire and dam as a stacked list with their own parents underneath, instead of a four-generation grid scrolled sideways. Tap any ancestor to open it. Opening pedigree from an animal's Breeding tab was also broken, and is fixed. The printed record now includes the animal's photo, its pedigree and its weight and condition trend - and it no longer prints a due date for a breeding cycle the app already treats as finished. Share now sends a short summary: identity, herd, paddock, latest weight, breeding status and any active withholding period, instead of the animal's entire treatment and condition history.
