I downloaded PawCheck earlier this month and it’s been wonderful! I scanned my pantry and immediately found a few items with ingredients I definitely want to avoid for my pets. The breakdown is simple, clear, and super easy to navigate. I have a dog and a cat, and each scan is rated differently for each pet—even down to their specific breed! Great job, PawCheck!

Needs More Maintenance

This app is very insightful and has a lot of potential. However, I’ve only had ONE product scanned and identified correctly. Every other product I’ve tried to scan has either resulted in a “Couldn’t identify this product” message or returned incorrect product information.For example, I scanned Native Pet PUMPKIN Powder, but the app identified it as Native Pet PROBIOTIC Powder instead. These are two completely different products, and accurate identification is essential for the app to be useful and trustworthy.I really like the concept of this app, but the product-scanning feature needs significant improvement. It would be helpful if the app could more reliably recognize product names, distinguish between similar packaging from the same brand, and provide an option to manually correct or search for a product when scanning fails.I hope the developers will address these issues, because improving the accuracy of product recognition would make this app much more valuable and user-friendly.
