Light or Dark, your call. • Appearance, in the document menu: follow the device, or keep the reader Light or Dark. The document browser follows too, and the choice is remembered. • Exported PDFs are always light, like the Mac's, so they read the same for whoever you send them to. • The Contents list highlights the section you are reading as you scroll. • The document menu now sits in the toolbar's overflow on iPhone and behind the More button on iPad. • Send Feedback opens our feedback page, and Support MarkDown Reader offers an optional tip. Tips unlock nothing; everything stays free.

Show the source. • Show Source, in the toolbar menu, swaps the rendered page for the file's raw text with line numbers, read-only, so you can check what a tool wrote without opening an editor. Search works in either view, and your reading position is kept when you switch back. Print and PDF export stay rendered-only. • Contents rows respond anywhere along the row, not only on the heading text. • Help now has a link to rate the app on the App Store. The app never asks on its own. • Tables, code blocks and quotes indented under a numbered list item now render properly instead of as plain text. • Code blocks indented a few spaces now render as code, and a bullet that wraps onto a second line no longer opens a gap below it.

Colour, and more of Markdown. • Documents have colour now: blue headings, coloured bullets and checkboxes, tinted notes and attachments, underlined links, and brighter code highlighting. PDF export keeps the plain look. • More Markdown renders: HTML formatting tags inside text, such as line breaks, superscripts, highlights and collapsible answers; plain web addresses as links; numbered lists that start at any number; character entities like the copyright sign; and names like snake_case_name. YAML front matter at the top of a file is hidden. • Safer saving: ticking a box or writing a note only saves if the file is unchanged since you last saw it, so edits made in another app are never overwritten. Anything that couldn't be saved stays on screen for you to copy.

Math now renders, and the app opens again on iOS 18. • LaTeX math is typeset, offline: $…$ for inline formulas and $$…$$ for display equations, the way VS Code and GitHub show them. Prices like $5 stay plain text. • Fixed: on iOS 18 the app could close immediately after launch.

Checklists are now somewhere to work, not just something to read. • Notes: hover any checklist item and add a note. It saves into the file as a plain indented bullet, so every other Markdown tool still reads it. • Attachments (Mac): drag a file onto a checklist item to attach it. Click the chip to open that file again. • Clickable file references (Mac): a path written in a code span opens in your editor. • Path bar (Mac): copy the document's path, or reveal it in the Finder. • Live reload is steadier. iPhone and iPad also gain the interactive checkboxes and notes that the Mac version has had.
