A precise tuner, a voicing-aware chord atlas, and a song builder that explains its suggestions. One quiet, exact companion for guitar players. Proceeds support IJM.
Akkoord is a guitar companion built as one instrument, not three separate tools bolted together. The name is Dutch for chord, and for agreement: six strings, in accord.
Tune, exactly. A chromatic tuner accurate to within a cent or two, with a display you'd frame: a bar sliding along a ruled axis until it locks. Standard tuning plus Drop D, DADGAD, Open G, Open D, Open C, and more. Adjustable reference pitch. Capo-aware, if you want it.
See the chord, not just the shape. A chord atlas built around voicings, not just names: twelve roots, thirteen qualities, and three to five curated fingerings for each, hand-picked for how they actually sound and play on an acoustic. See the root, the third, the fifth. Toggle between note names and intervals. Left-handed mirroring included.
Write the song, with reasons. Pick a key and a section (Verse, Chorus, Bridge) and Akkoord suggests progressions that understand what each section is for: verses that establish, choruses that lift, bridges that depart. Every suggestion comes with a one-line reason, not just a chord chart. Arrange sections into a full song, add lyrics, set a tempo, and export a clean chart you can play from.
The capo, done right. Akkoord treats the capo as a first-class part of the instrument, not an afterthought. It knows the shape you're playing and the chord you're sounding, and it can suggest capo positions that unlock easier voicings in any key.
Built quietly, on purpose. No accounts. No cloud sync. No ads, no gamification, no clutter. Everything runs on your phone. Your microphone audio is never recorded or sent anywhere. Akkoord is released with all proceeds donated to International Justice Mission.
Whether you're tuning up before practice, learning a new voicing, or chasing a feeling all the way to a finished verse and chorus, Akkoord is built for how guitarists actually work, and it's especially good at the last one.
