Record what you hear. A record button now sits beside the frequency: press it and Ham Listening saves the receiver's audio to your device as a WAV file, press it again to stop, and while it runs the button breathes red so you can see at a glance that it is still going. The 30 seconds before you pressed are saved too — the app always keeps the most recent half minute of received audio in memory and drops it into the file when you press record, so when you hear an interesting callsign or the start of a broadcast and reach for the button, the part you wanted is already saved instead of missed. A new Recordings page, opened from the button beside it, lists everything you have captured with its frequency, mode, receiver, time in UTC, length and size, and lets you share a recording to another app, give it a name of your own, or delete it. There is no time limit: every 30 minutes the app rolls into a new file so each one stays easy to share and to open, and all the pieces stay together as one entry in the list. Pausing silences your speaker rather than the recording, recording continues when you leave the app or lock the screen, and if the app is closed while a recording is running nothing is lost — it is repaired and relisted the next time you open the Recordings page. No microphone is involved at any point: Ham Listening records the radio audio arriving over the internet, which is the same audio you are already hearing, it needs no new permission, and nothing leaves your device unless you share it yourself. Four new waterfall colour themes A user wrote in asking for a waterfall that was easier on the eyes, and he was right — the choice was too narrow. There are now eight: - Spectrum — the classic receiver look he asked for: a deep navy field, signals going white-hot, and the strongest peaks breaking into amber and orange. - Inferno — black through purple to orange and pale yellow, spaced so that faint detail near the noise floor stays visible instead of disappearing into one flat colour. - Ice — teal and cyan with no warm colours at all. The calmest of the eight for a long listening session. - Copper — warm, with no blue in it anywhere. Blue light is what makes a bright waterfall tiring, so this one is for late evenings. Every theme now has its own light-mode and dark-mode version, so the waterfall suits whichever app theme you are using rather than looking washed out in one of them. 73 de A41UX
