A small companion who grows as you look after yourself. Check in with three taps, write a page, breathe together, and watch your Nook fill up.
Mipkin is a small creature who lives in your phone, and a quiet loop you can pick up and put down.
You look after them by looking after yourself. Answer the day in three taps, weather, energy, what you need, and the day shapes itself around that answer, so a heavy day leads with the smaller things instead of the same list as everyone else's.
Your companion arrives through a small ritual and is the one that came, not one you picked off a grid. They grow through five visible stages. Growth counts wanders taken, never days in a row, so a fortnight away leaves it exactly where you left it.
Somewhere to put the day down. Your own journal pages, with a question above the box so the first sentence is nearly free. Stored on your phone. Yours to delete, one at a time.
A room that fills up. Warmth is earned by living here and spent on things that then appear in your Nook. It cannot be bought with money, so nothing in the shop can be skipped by paying, including the things on the Plus shelf, which a subscription opens but still does not pay for.
Little adventures. They wander off and come home with a keepsake and something written about where they went. Call them back early if you miss them. While they are out, a Live Activity on your lock screen says where they are.
Widgets that say the thing. Home screen and lock screen, in five sizes, each a finished sentence about your companion.
For when things are loud. A breathing guide at three paces, with your companion breathing along. Five, four, three, two, one, a way back into the room through your own senses. And a worry box: write down what is going round, shut it in, open it again or let it go. All free, none of it counted, and the box never leaves your phone.
Talking freely, with Plus. If you are 18 or over in the US or UK, you can type to your Mipkin in English and an AI writes the replies, each marked AI. It is off until you turn it on. What you type goes to our service and to AI providers that say they keep no copy; conversations stay on your phone. It is not a person, therapist or crisis service. AI companions may not be suitable for some minors.
Apple Health, if you want it. On iPhone, Mipkin can write breathing, grounding, wind-down, and focus time as mindful minutes after you choose to connect it. Mipkin never reads Apple Health, and no Health data is sent to Mipkin or its service providers.
What Mipkin will not do
· No ads, in any tier, ever
· No rhythm repair to buy, a rest day is free, and your best is kept forever
· No energy or lives that run out
· No currency sold for cash
· No fake or unenforced urgency; the one reduced-price window has a real fixed expiry
· Nothing that counts what you did not do
Private by default, with choices you control. Your journal and reflections stay on your phone unless you ask for a reflection; a reflection sends only the page you choose for a short AI response, with no companion name or identifier. Visiting shares only an optional generic visitor card. Private friends are invite-only, with no directory, profiles, chosen companions, writing or chat. An optional account backup can save companion progress, Nook choices, inventory and settings, but never journal pages, reflections, worries, friend aliases, visiting codes or credentials.
Mipkin is a comfort object with structure. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition. It is not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service. For medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, consult a qualified healthcare professional.
Mipkin Plus is optional. It adds room to welcome more Mipkins, more Nooks and lights, reflections on your own journal pages, and seasonal decor while Plus is active. One-time packs are also available for people who do not want a subscription. Everything that is care stays free forever, including looking back over your time together.

Ratings & Reviews
- Getting Plus is more reliable: if the App Store is slow to respond, Mipkin tries again instead of saying Plus is unavailable.
- The yearly Plus price shown in the app now matches what the App Store charges.
- Small fixes and polish.
