Recharge Workout Recovery Time
Know when to train again
Free · In‑App Purchases
How long until your next hard session? After you train, a recovery countdown runs on your watch face and pings you when it ends. Free, no extra strap or ring.
Finish a qualifying workout and Recharge starts a training-load countdown. When it runs out, the estimate is complete.
That is the whole app. It answers the recovery-time question after an activity, built for the Apple Watch you already own. No ring, strap, or second hardware ecosystem.
WHAT YOU SEE
• A countdown in hours after every qualifying workout
• A clear completion state when the estimate expires
• The reason behind it: which session set the window, and how confident Recharge is
• Watch complications in four families (circular, rectangular, inline, and corner), in the style you choose
BUILT FOR HYBRID TRAINING
Separate curves reflect the different costs of an hour under a barbell and an hour on a bike:
• Endurance: run, ride, row, swim. Heart-rate-reserve load from your workout heart rate.
• Strength: lifting. Wrist heart rate is unreliable under grip and bar contact, so Recharge asks you one question instead of guessing.
• Mixed: hybrid circuits. Both systems taxed, so the longest window.
• Easy: walks, yoga, mobility. Counted as active recovery. Never starts or extends a countdown.
HONEST BY DESIGN
Recharge shows a bounded window, its source, and confidence, rather than false precision.
STANDARD, FREE
The standard estimate is one shared table, set to your training level: session type, length, and intensity, scored against your heart-rate range.
• Apple Health workout import
• The countdown and its completion state
• Apple Watch app
• All four complication families
• iPhone explanation of your latest estimate
RECHARGE+
Recharge+ replaces that table with you: every session is scored against your own 42-day baseline, and the last 30 days set how fast your countdowns run.
• A recovery time built from your own history, not a population average
• Sleep, resting heart rate, and HRV folded into each estimate, including the nights after a session
• Calibration from how you say you actually felt when a countdown ran out
• Weekly load against your own four-week average
• Per-session Light, Moderate, or Hard intensity correction
• Countdown-complete notifications, included on every tier when enabled
Recharge+ is available as a monthly or yearly subscription, or a one-time lifetime purchase.
• Monthly and yearly subscriptions include a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers
• Lifetime is a one-time purchase with no subscription or renewal
Prices are shown in the app before you buy and vary by region. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation. Subscriptions renew automatically and are charged within 24 hours before the period ends unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before then. Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Any unused trial time is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

PRIVACY
Recharge reads selected Apple Health data and writes nothing back. Your imported workouts, readings, and estimates stay on your devices. There is no account and no sign-in. Purchases go through Apple and RevenueCat. You can delete Recharge's local Health cache in Settings.
IMPORTANT
Recharge gives a cardiovascular training estimate based on your recent workout load. It is not medical advice and does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it cannot tell you whether you are physically fit to train. Cardiovascular load, muscle soreness, connective tissue, illness, and mental fatigue are not the same thing. Always use your own judgement, and speak to a qualified professional about your health.
Recharge is an independent app and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple.
Requires iOS 17 or later. An Apple Watch that records your workouts is strongly recommended.
Ratings & Reviews

A new recovery model: every session is scored on what it actually cost.
• The free countdown scores each session at your training level, instead of repeating your usual gap between sessions. That gap is still shown beside it.
• Countdowns now reach four days, so a half marathon or marathon reads longer than a long run.
• Intervals cost more than a steady run at the same average heart rate, and a long easy ride no longer outweighs a hard hour.
• Train again before a countdown ends and the two combine: the longer one in full, plus half of the shorter.
• Recharge+ adjusts a running countdown after each night's sleep, HRV, and resting heart rate.
• Complications keep updating through a four-day countdown and show the day it ends.
• Fixed: Ready now stays on screen after a long countdown, a workout that syncs just after you open the app is picked up straight away, and the Watch effort prompt opens properly.
