Now on your wrist. Your seven-day daylight average on Apple Watch, as an app and a complication, and a widget that stays current on its own. Also, iPhone Duo support.
Your Apple Watch already records how much time you spend in daylight. Brightened is a calm, single-purpose place to see it, now on your wrist as well as your phone.
No accounts. No cloud. No subscription. Nothing leaves your devices.
A GRADIENT THAT ANSWERS BEFORE YOU READ
Brightened shows your rolling seven-day average as a full-bleed gradient that brightens as daylight accumulates. Slate through dusk, dawn, amber, radiant. You can tell how the week has gone from across the room, before you read a single number.
ON YOUR WRIST
The Apple Watch app shows your seven-day average, its stage, and today's minutes at a glance. Add it to your watch face as a complication in a corner, a circle, or a wider slot. Every complication carries the number and a ring for your goal, so it reads clearly even on faces tinted to a single color.
THE DAY'S ARC
A quiet band shows when your daylight actually fell across the day. Morning on the left, evening on the right. It describes your day. It does not grade it.
FOUR WEEKS OF HISTORY
Every day as a bar, every week as a card, all scaled against one another so a strong week looks like a strong week. No streaks. No badges. No pressure to perform.
ROOM TO SPREAD OUT
On iPad and on larger iPhone displays, the gradient stands as a full-height panel beside your day and your week, and History lays its weeks out side by side. On iPad, your daylight arrives through Apple Health's own iCloud sync.
A GOAL THAT IS YOURS
Set a daily goal that fits the life you actually have, and change it whenever it stops fitting. Brightened uses your goal to shade the gradient and nothing else. Change it on your phone and your watch follows.
WIDGETS THAT KEEP UP
Small and medium home screen widgets show the same number and the same gradient, and now refresh in the background as your watch records daylight, without the app being opened.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Brightened reads one measurement from Apple Health and nothing else. It writes nothing. Your goal travels from your phone to your watch over their own connection and nowhere else. There are no servers and no analytics.
WHAT YOU NEED
Time in Daylight is recorded by Apple Watch Series 6 and later. Without a paired Apple Watch there is no daylight data to show, and Brightened says so plainly rather than pretending otherwise.

Brightened comes to Apple Watch.
The new watch app shows your seven-day average, its stage, and today's minutes on the same gradient, sized for your wrist and readable in always-on.
Complications put the number on your watch face in three shapes, and stay legible on tinted faces.
Your goal follows you: change it on your phone and your watch updates.
Home screen widgets now refresh in the background as your watch records daylight, so they stay current even when you have not opened the app in days.
On iPad and on larger iPhone displays, the gradient now stands as a full-height panel beside your day and your week, and History lays its weeks out side by side.
A free update, as always.
