Looped: picks from friends

Ask friends, not the internet

Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Getting a recommendation you can trust is harder than it should be. Search results are ads, reviews are gamed, and forums are strangers. Looped asks the people you already know instead. Download it and you're in. You don't need an invite from someone already here, though if a friend sent you a code it still works. What you do need is your own people, and you add them yourself: send someone a link, or connect to anyone already on Looped. It takes a yes from both sides, so nobody turns up in your circle uninvited. Two questions a week, dropping Sunday and Wednesday at 8:00 AM Eastern. You answer first. Nobody's picks open until yours does, and when the next question drops, everyone's reveal opens at the same instant. A reveal only shows picks from people you're connected to. Everything you save lands in your own library, sorted into Your answers, To try, and Tried, so what a friend recommended doesn't disappear into a chat thread you'll never find again. Answers stack up by category over time, too. Every kitchen pick your people have ever made sits on one shelf. The part that makes Looped different: closing the loop. When you try something a friend recommended, you tell them whether it landed. That's the whole point of asking someone you trust in the first place, knowing if it actually worked. It doesn't ask for your contacts, your phone number, or your location. Sign in with an Apple or Google account and that's it. No ads, and there's nothing to buy. You get one email a week by default, the Sunday digest. There's an optional reminder before a question closes, but it stays off unless you turn it on yourself. Looped is not a place to build a following. No public profile, no like count, no algorithm deciding what you see. Just the people you invited, and the questions you all answer together.

Anyone can start now. Download Looped and you're in, no code and no waiting list, though a friend's code still works if you have one. The app opens on a short explanation of how it works instead of the website's pitch, and you build your circle from the People tab: add anyone by name or email, or send a link. You can block someone now, too. Their picks leave your Looped and they cannot connect to you again.
