Progress Tech is the work order app for the field service technicians who maintain
our residential rental properties. It gives a technician everything one job needs, on
one screen, and it keeps working when the connection does not.
THE DAY'S WORK
Open the app and see today's assignments straight away, in the order they are
scheduled. The Schedule tab holds the full job list and shows a map with a pin for
every property you are due to visit, colour coded by where each job stands.
EVERYTHING ABOUT ONE JOB
Tap a job to see the property address, the work requested, access instructions, the
customer contact, previous photos and notes, and the full status history. Call the
customer with one tap when you are on your way or need to ask a question.
STATUS THE OFFICE CAN SEE
Move a job through Scheduled, Dispatched, En Route, On Site, In Progress and
Completed. Each change reaches the dispatch team as you make it, so nobody has to
call and ask where a technician is.
PROOF OF THE WORK
Photograph the job before and after with the camera, or attach photos already on the
phone. Record a short spoken note when typing is impractical, and add written notes
for anything the office needs to know. It all stays attached to the work order.
BUILT FOR PLACES WITH NO SIGNAL
Crawl spaces, basements and rural properties lose signal. Progress Tech stores the
day's work on the device, so job details stay readable and status changes, photos and
notes can still be captured. Everything uploads by itself when a connection returns,
and the Offline Queue screen shows exactly what is still waiting.
ASSIGNMENTS THAT FIND YOU
Push notifications announce a new assignment or a change to an existing one, so a
schedule change does not need a phone call.
TROUBLESHOOTING HELP
Ask Jarvis answers practical questions about a repair without leaving the app.
MADE FOR WORKING HANDS
Large controls, clear status colours, and a layout meant to be read quickly in poor
light and worse weather. Works on iPhone and iPad.
WHO IT IS FOR
Progress Tech is an app for authorised field service technicians and the
contractors who work with us. It requires an account issued by our
IT department and is not useful without one.

1. Close-out form: the "Charge Resident" toggle is pre-filled from the work order's resident-caused flag when one is set. The technician can override it.
2. Resident Unavailable screen: the 15-minute wait message was updated to allow leaving earlier once the resident's unavailability is confirmed.
3. iOS 27 support: scene lifecycle support is enabled.
4. The Home Screen display name changed from "Progress Field Tech" to "Progress Field".
