POE is a free, independently owned period tracking app. No tracking. No analytics. No ads. No venture capital or private equity.
Record your experience and find your patterns in an encrypted journal that stays on your device. Create and preview a report for your doctor inside POE. You decide what to save or share.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your journal works offline. No account or email signup. No cloud sync, automatic backup or health-data server. No third-party tracking or health-data integrations. Your journal is encrypted whether you add a PIN or not. POE connects only if you choose to send a bug report or feature request from Settings; your journal is never attached.
A KILL SWITCH FOR YOUR JOURNAL
Set a separate kill switch PIN. Enter it on the lock screen to immediately erase your POE journal and its keys, without a confirmation step. You can also choose automatic erasure after 3 or 10 consecutive incorrect PINs, or erase your journal from Settings.
Kill switch and automatic erasure protections are optional. Erased records cannot be recovered through POE. Saved reports, shared copies and screenshots remain outside POE's erasure controls.
BRING YOUR RECORD TO YOUR DOCTOR
Create a PDF or CSV report for the dates you choose. Include period records and symptoms, with optional mood, energy, feelings and notes. Preview your PDF inside the app before saving or sharing it. Reports include cycle summaries and recording gaps.
LOG WHAT MATTERS TO YOU
Record period flow, symptoms, mood, energy, feelings and notes. Search 51 built-in symptoms or add your own observations. Return to an unfinished check-in, or choose a date to add or edit an entry.
FIND YOUR PATTERNS
Explore symptom frequency and severity over three months, six months or a year. A day you didn't log is never counted as a symptom-free day.
MORE WAYS TO LOG
Record LH test results, waking temperature and cervical mucus observations separately. Review cycle phase context and available estimates based on your records. LH, temperature and mucus observations are not included in PDF or CSV exports. Choose optional local logging reminders and cycle notifications, with neutral notification text by default.
HELP IMPROVE POE
Report a bug or request a feature from Settings without an email address. For bugs, you can optionally include reproduction steps and the app build, iOS version and iPhone/iPad category. We cannot reply directly; added features and fixes appear in App Store update notes.

BEFORE YOU START
POE requires a device passcode. There is no forgotten-PIN recovery or automatic backup. Removing your device passcode makes your existing journal inaccessible.
POE is a personal journal, not a medical device or method of contraception. Estimates and patterns are informational. They do not diagnose a condition, confirm ovulation or identify safe days. Do not rely on them for fertility, pregnancy or treatment decisions.
