Settings. A new Settings card on Home: set your block and address, choose which parts of the Your block card show, and set how the calendar opens, which categories it starts on and which organizations appear. Everything is saved on your phone.
The tiles in Home's daily strip and the buttons on the Your block card open their pages when tapped.
Updates from bkcb6.app show in the app as soon as they download.
2.11 Oct 14
Every part of the app now follows the files on bkcb6.app, without an app update: which sections open or start closed, the tab bar, every color, every font size and gap, and the sections of every screen, including the Organizations tab, official and project pages, NYCHA, the election screen, Vision Zero, Votes, the community organizations directory and the block card.
Organizations: every heading starts closed and opens with a tap. Business improvement districts have their own heading, with each district's map and businesses; every business in the CB6 directory has a profile, and the businesses listed on a district's page open their profiles. BKCB keeps the seal of Brooklyn's blue and gold.
2.10 Oct 10
Every part of the app now updates from bkcb6.app without an app update: every screen's sections and their order, folds, titles and icons; every button, where it goes and whether it shows, and anything can be made a button; every icon; every word; the tab bar; the day's strip; the rows of the Home block card, including the sample ballot for the saved address; the numbers behind lists and windows; and the city datasets each screen reads. Everything works offline from the files the app carries and refreshes when it has a connection.
Home: the next meeting or event on the Brooklyn calendar, whoever holds it, with the full Brooklyn calendar a tap away; a board's card shows that board's own next meeting. The subway tile opens the MTA service card with each line's delays and changes. BKCB keeps the seal of Brooklyn's blue and gold.

Every part of the app now updates from bkcb6.app without an app update: every screen's sections and their order, folds, titles and icons; every button, where it goes and whether it shows; every icon; every word; the tab bar; the rows of the Home block card, including the sample ballot for the saved address; and any page of the site placed on any screen, with the saved address passed to it. Everything works offline from the files the app carries and refreshes when it has a connection.
Home: your block's sample ballot for Tuesday, November 3, under who represents you.
2.7 Oct 8
Home, top to bottom: today's strip (parking, sanitation, the subway, the weather), your block with the address entry always in view, the next meeting and the election, then the board's map, folded until you open it.
Your block: the DOT construction permits, permitted events, film shoots and closures on your block in the next 30 days, on a small map with a count, with the details a tap away.
Address card: the Assembly and Senate tiles open the member's profile.
Everything the app shows now updates from bkcb6.app without an app update: text, colors, tables, map badges, the order of Home, and any page of the site inside the app.
2.4 Oct 8
Everything in the app now updates from bkcb6.app without an app update: the maps, their colors and legends, the data behind every screen, logos, buttons and text. Offline, the app keeps the last copy it downloaded and works as before. A line at the foot of Home shows when the app last checked, with a Refresh.
Speed limits on every Brooklyn board's map now show each street's posted limit, with Sammy's Law 15 mph school zones.
2.3 Oct 7
Every address card now matches the citywide search on bkcb6.app, for any lot in New York City, with or without a connection. Drop a pin on the map to open the full card for that spot. Each lot's city records (DOB, HPD, ACRIS deeds, City Planning applications and 311) open inside the app. Save your address and Your block on Home shows today's and tomorrow's parking and pickup, plus block parties, film shoots and street work on your block. The app now opens on all of Brooklyn.
2.2 Oct 6
BKCB's screens now update without an app update. The buttons on Home, the sections and their order, the banners on officials' pages and the explanatory text come from bkcb6.app, so a new tool, a new event banner or a correction reaches your phone the next time the app opens with a connection. Offline, the app keeps the last copy it downloaded and works as before.
The calendar carries every October street event in Brooklyn: block parties, festivals, races and parades, with Trick-or-Streets, each under its board.
Every map, lot, block, meeting and profile for Brooklyn stays on your phone and works without a connection.
2.1 Oct 4
BK CIVICS is now BKCB, the app for Brooklyn's 18 community districts. Pick your board and the whole app follows it: the board's tools sit right under its map.
Every board page and every elected official's profile opens on its district map with layers to turn on and off: community boards (each with its own logo), the City Council, State Assembly, State Senate and Congress districts marked by the official's logo, zoning and land use, parks, subway, bus routes, Citi Bike, NYC Ferry, bike lanes, truck routes and speed limits. Then the bio, the district in numbers (residents, median age, income, rent, unemployment, poverty and housing from the Census and the Bureau of Labor Statistics, with asking rents from the rent maps), bills with their status in plain words, committees, contact and every overlap. Brooklyn's own numbers are on the Borough President's page.
The Government Directory opens every board, official and agency to its page. Weather, flood maps and alerts have a button on every board. The BQE is presented for the whole borough. The calendar carries October's events from the community's flyers.
2.0 Oct 2
A new calendar, month by month: every Brooklyn community board, the City Council, public hearings and events, with each organization's logo and event flyers, all available offline. Brooklyn Community Board 6 meetings are highlighted.
An Election 2026 countdown on the home screen: days until early voting, Election Day and the registration deadline, linked to your poll site and ballot.
1.0.2 Sep 22
Fixes to how pages display on iPhone: content now fits the screen, the voting link points to the November 3 general election, and several pages that were missing their styling now render correctly.
1.0.1 Sep 17
Every Brooklyn police precinct and community school district has its own profile, with a map of its boundary, the community boards and elected officials it overlaps, and its office.
The 76th and 78th Precincts open on the same profile.
