Looté: Game Translator & Cards

Translate Japanese & Spanish

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

No ads. Screenshot your Switch, PlayStation or Steam game in Japanese, Spanish or French, tap the line and read it in English, with furigana. Free up to 100 cards. Looté is not a game: it's the translator for the games you already play, in the language they're in. Playing in Japanese, Spanish or French? Take a screenshot or photograph the screen, tap the line and read it in English. Tap a word to see what it means in that scene, save it as a flashcard and review it later. • Tap a sentence: the translation appears right away • Tap a word: its meaning in the context of the game • Save flashcards and review with spaced repetition • Furigana or romaji over Japanese words, and no ads NEW IN 2.0: THE LANGUAGE OF YOUR GAME Looté reads games in English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German, Italian and Portuguese, and explains them in any of those eight. Pick your game's language at the start or per game in Settings; if a screenshot looks like another language, Looté offers to switch. In Japanese, a tap lands on the right word even without spaces, and furigana or romaji appear over the kanji. CLAUDE IN LOOTÉ PRO Claude, by Anthropic, explains lines and sums up scenes and sessions. In our tests with RPG dialogue, it answered every line and put together a session recap in about 12 seconds. Turn it on in Looté's Settings; it needs an internet connection and has a daily limit. PLAY NOW. LEARN LATER. Playing on Switch, PlayStation or Steam? Take screenshots without stopping the game and import them all later: share up to 20 at once to Looté from Photos, pick the game and work through the queue when you're ready. UNDERSTAND WHAT IS ON SCREEN Photograph another screen with the camera or import screenshots. Text recognition highlights sentences to tap. A word shows its meaning in context, an example from the scene, its tone and its pronunciation. A scene overview and, after a queue, a session recap bring the key lines and words to save. These responses may contain errors. No game at hand? An interactive introduction and sample scenes in English and Japanese show it all working. SAVE AND REVIEW Save sentences and words as flashcards with translations, context and images. Organize them by game, search and edit cards. Review with spaced repetition, set a daily reminder and follow your streak and learned cards in Progress. CHOOSE HOW LOOTÉ THINKS Looté starts in Automatic, the mix we picked for speed and quality: the translation appears right away and the explanation follows; with Looté Pro it uses Claude (when you turn it on) or Apple's cloud. Or pick On-device (offline, but a few seconds slower), Full (Apple's cloud, with Pro), Claude (with Pro), Translation only, or Custom, task by task. Games in Japanese or Korean, among others, are explained by Apple's cloud or Claude with Looté Pro; without Pro, you get the translation. Without Apple Intelligence, iOS translates on the device after downloading the languages. Model and language availability may vary. LOOTÉ PRO Looté is free to use with up to 100 cards. The optional Looté Pro subscription adds screenshot queues of two or more images with session recaps, Claude, Apple's cloud in Automatic and Full modes, full explanations for saved cards and unlimited cards. Plans are weekly, monthly or yearly; the yearly plan includes a 7-day free trial. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel it in your App Store account settings. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://www.mellofattura.com/en/work/loote/privacy Your screenshots and cards are stored locally, with no Looté account. With Claude on, the text read from your screenshots is sent to Anthropic to generate the answers; images never leave your device. The menus are in English, Portuguese and Spanish. Requires iOS 27 or later. Recognition depends on image clarity; Looté does not automatically import captures from console accounts.
