OMNIVORE CODEX
A Real-World Palate RPG
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
OMNIVORE CODEX is a real-world palate RPG built around your own perception.
Find a nearby Gate, photograph a dish, name what you ate, and record the shape of the experience across mastery and personal taste. Each sealed Reading becomes an Artifact in your Codex, preserving where you were and what you noticed.
Sealing a Reading creates an Artifact with a Level, rarity, and earned identity. Eligible Binds add EXP to your Journey. The live Chronicle shows newly bound Artifacts from anonymous Hunters; open any entry to inspect its read-only card. It is a discovery feed, not a leaderboard or crowd verdict.
There are no public star ratings and no crowd telling you what you should enjoy. A reading records your experience; it does not predict your taste or turn preference into a universal score.
Core features:
- Discover and chart real food places on the WorldRadar.
- Capture a dish with the camera or photo library.
- Record mastery separately from your personal sensory profile.
- Preserve Readings, photos, progress, and earned Artifacts in your Codex.
- Follow the live Chronicle while keeping each Hunter anonymous.
- Find nearby Gates and Google places through an accessible list.
- Add optional texture, aroma and other descriptors without changing scores or EXP.
- View earned Badges and their lore in Journey.
- Choose from 20 languages, including Russian, before the first journey or in Settings.
- Contact the developer through free private Telegram messages from Settings.
- Review shared dish history without exposing anyone's live location.
- Report inappropriate public records and hide a Hunter's public records from your own view.
- Delete your account and associated personal readings from inside the App.
The complete core remains free. Optional patronage is only a thank-you and never changes EXP, Rank, rarity, access, or what your tongue reveals.
One Hunter builds a personal Codex. Together, we reveal the world through taste.
Personal Notes and deeper Living Map details are planned for future updates; their doorways are clearly labelled in the app.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Artifact cards now share a cleaner, photo-first design across Reveal, the Codex record and sharing. The reveal card leaves more room for surrounding effects and opens full details with a tap. Optional sensory descriptors appear directly on the card, and shared images use larger, clearer typography.
Profile graphs now use the same taste colors as Calibration. Slow light accents bring Calibration to life, with a fixed gold midpoint reference for Profile and support for reduced motion.
This update also retains the refined app icon, clearer first journey, live Chronicle, nearby Gates and Google places, earned Badge artwork and lore, optional descriptors, 20 languages including Russian, and private developer contact through Telegram. Personal Notes and deeper Living Map details remain clearly marked future updates.
