Your drone weather app. See at a glance if it's safe to fly with a simple traffic-light system, powered by Apple Intelligence.
Can I fly right now? xPilot Sky gives you the answer in seconds.
xPilot Sky is the weather app made for drone pilots. It checks the conditions at your location and turns them into one clear flight status, so you can focus on flying, not on reading weather charts.
TRAFFIC-LIGHT FLIGHT STATUS
Wind, gusts, visibility, rain, icing and thunderstorms, all checked at once and summed up as Ready to fly, Caution or Do not fly. If something is off, xPilot Sky tells you why, for example "Gusts over limit".
AI BRIEFING POWERED BY APPLE INTELLIGENCE
Get a personal weather briefing in plain words, generated directly on your device. It explains what the numbers mean for your flight, including wind at flight altitude, and recommends when to take off.
BEST FLIGHT WINDOW
xPilot Sky finds the best time to fly today and in the coming days: calm wind, dry conditions and daylight.
48-HOUR WIND FORECAST
See wind and gusts for the next 48 hours in a clear chart, with your wind limit marked, plus an hourly outlook with flight status for every hour.
YOUR FLIGHT SPOTS
Save your favorite spots and check their status anytime.
SIRI & SHORTCUTS
Just ask "Can I fly right now?" without opening the app.
DESIGNED FOR PILOTS
A clean, dark cockpit-style design that is easy to read, even outdoors.
Built in Switzerland by a drone pilot, for drone pilots.
Weather data: Open-Meteo. The AI briefing requires a device that supports Apple Intelligence.
Note: xPilot Sky is a planning tool. As the pilot, you are always responsible for checking local regulations, airspace restrictions and the actual conditions on site before you fly.
This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
What's New
• Units: Wind in km/h, m/s, knots or mph, temperature in °C or °F, and distances in km or miles. Units follow the device region by default and can be adjusted individually in Settings.
• Redesigned Flight Spots: Saved locations show flight status, wind and temperature at a glance. Tapping a flight spot opens the full weather view for that location. Flight spots can be renamed, reordered and annotated with notes.
• Extended Siri support: New phrases such as "Why can't I fly according to xPilot Sky?" and queries for saved flight spots. "Ask xPilot Sky" accepts freely worded questions about the flight weather.
• Flight weather chat: Questions about the flight weather can be asked directly from the Weather tab, for example about tomorrow's wind development.
• Rain forecast: The chance of rain for the next 24 hours is now shown in the Forecast tab.
Improvements
• Hourly ratings now include wind at 120 m flight altitude.
• If the location is unavailable, a notice with direct access to Settings is shown.
• The time of the last update is displayed. Outdated weather data refreshes automatically when the app is opened.
• The AI briefing is now available only on devices with Apple Intelligence and is no longer regenerated when switching tabs.
• More reliable weather loading on weak connections.
• Improved support for VoiceOver and larger text sizes.
• Corrected time formatting and other bug fixes.
