Briefly - Daily News
Less doomscrolling. More focus
Free
Less doomscrolling. More perspective.
Your news should fit into your day—not take it over. Briefly is a calm news and RSS reader for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, designed to help you catch up with the sources you choose and then get back to your day.
A DAILY BRIEF WITH A STOPPING POINT
Start with a focused selection of stories instead of diving straight into an endless feed. Choose a 3, 5, or 10-minute Focus Session, read what matters, and finish with a clear sense of being caught up.
YOUR SOURCES, YOUR CHOICE
Follow websites and public RSS or Atom feeds. Organize sources into categories, adjust their priority, and mute sources or keywords you would rather skip. Import or export your subscriptions with OPML.
A READER THAT LETS YOU FOCUS
Enjoy clear typography, adjustable text, and light or dark mode. Explore other coverage of the same story, search your library, and return to the original publication whenever you want.
SAVE NOW, READ LATER
Keep stories in Saved, leave articles for Later Today, and pick up interrupted reading. Downloaded articles remain available offline, so you can read without a connection.
DESIGNED FOR IPHONE DUO
Explore an image-rich overview on the inner display. Open a story to place your article list on the left and the reader on the right. Fold back to the cover display and continue where you left off. Choose full-image cards with readable title and source overlays, thumbnail previews, or a compact list.
OPTIONAL APPLE INTELLIGENCE
On compatible devices, generate on-device article summaries and a source-linked 90-second brief. These features are optional; Briefly works without them. Generated text can contain mistakes, so the original reporting stays close at hand.
CONTINUE ACROSS DEVICES
Use optional iCloud sync to keep your sources, categories, saved stories, and reading progress up to date across your Apple devices.
Briefly is built for catching up, not staying hooked.
Read what matters. Reach a stopping point. Get back to your day.
Apple Intelligence requires a compatible device, supported software and language, and Apple Intelligence enabled. Full article availability depends on the publisher; some feeds contain only excerpts or link to restricted content.
Ratings & Reviews
- This app hasn’t received enough ratings or reviews to display an overview.
Daily Brief now checks the available article text before you start, giving you a more reliable reading-time estimate. You’ll also see when only a preview is available.
Today, Saved, and the reader have a cleaner design. Stories without images look better, and you can sort Saved stories or filter for unread ones. Unfollowing a source now keeps your saved stories, highlights, and notes.
We’ve also simplified article actions and refined the experience on iPhone and iPad.
