The studio in late sun: a window down one wall, low sun across the floor and the wall beside the shelving, graphite steel shelving, and a light table that glows. Night work: the sun and moon button turns the studio to evening, with the lamps over the table lit. The pictures in the studio's piles are all there when you walk in. Hold the app icon to scan a drawing straight away. On a folding iPhone, the rooms' buttons stand in the column on the right. Performance mode, in the menu, leaves out the drawn sun and shade if a room feels slow.

A wall closer to a real gallery: light washes down from the ceiling, frames cast deeper shadows, and each mat sits back inside its frame. The studio opens quickly on a slow connection, showing the copies already on your device while the rest come down from iCloud.

Your pages: every page you have published in one place, with its link and how many visits it has had. Publishing carries on while you do something else, shown by a small chip that gives you the link when the page is up. No Biblio account yet? Make one right in Atelier to publish, with Apple, Google or your email. Clearer when a collection has nothing that can go on a page, and why. A photo with no paper edge to find, or one already cropped, keeps all of its edges, and the corners of a crop follow your finger right to the edge of the picture. The camera no longer comes back turned on its side after Retake. Museum search works again: the Met changed how its collection is searched. Keep a new photo straight into a collection, sets included. Sets on the wall: turn on Hang together for a collection and it hangs as one block under a plaque. A new look for the wall: painted plaster, oak frames and a pool of light for every work. Share a picture of a room as a Story or a Post. A work can now name more than one maker. Your archive stays safe in iCloud Drive: turning iCloud off on one device no longer takes it away from your others. Delete from a work's long-press menu, plus fixes for scanned colours and for dragging works to other apps on the Mac.

The wall and the studio follow your finger: drag to walk or look around, flick to glide on, and drag across a work you stepped up to to bring the next one into view. In the studio, hold a sheet or a book a moment to pick it up. Take one photo of several drawings, or a race bib beside its certificate, and each becomes a work of its own. Vaeda reads the words on a piece in any language, and knows a race bib or a ticket when he sees one. Send feedback from the menu or from About. Moving through the rooms follows Reduce Motion, and a tap in a room lands on what you touched.

Edit a picture without touching the original: crop, turn, straighten and flip it, square up its corners, and set paper white, exposure, contrast, warmth and saturation. From a work's menu, or while adding it. Redeem an offer code from the unlocks or from About. In a shared family archive, a work someone else removes is kept for thirty days under Removed by the family, where you can keep a copy of your own.

A work's page turns through your works without going back: swipe sideways on the picture, use the strip of works at the foot, or the arrow keys. A work stepped up to on the wall can be edited there. Each wall opens where you left it. In a shared family archive, your device says when someone else adds a work, with its maker, title and picture.

Notes from Atelier, if you want them: on the morning a work turns another year old, a note with its picture. Worked out on your device. The mood board takes sticky notes, lines of type, and pictures from your library, Photos or Files. Draw a frame round part of it to export just that part.
