A welcome walkthrough now introduces the app the first time you open it, and you can reopen it any time from Settings, Help, How to use Signal Beacon. Talk connects more reliably: the phone that hears a call answers on its own, and the caller stays dark long enough to hear the answer instead of sending over it. Talk's camera runs cooler.

Accessibility update. Signal Beacon now follows your iPhone's Increase Contrast setting, in both the normal and the night theme. Screen titles wrap at large text sizes, the Invite sheet scrolls and reads its web address aloud properly, and the app's own animations stop when Reduce Motion is on.

Talk is more reliable. A call now carries on if the screen blips, and a phone no longer answers twice in a row, which could make it miss the other phone's reply. Talk runs the camera at 120 fps so phones stay cooler on longer calls. The full-screen camera's buttons now sit clear of the status bar.

Fixes the shared clips: a clip of a message you scanned, or of a line the other phone sent in Talk, now shows the whole message from the first flash to the last, with each letter appearing as it is read, instead of cutting off most of it.

New Learn tab: a Morse-by-light teaching game with lessons, a daily challenge, a speed ladder, and Game Center leaderboards and achievements. Scan now reads imperfect hand-sent Morse much better: it follows speed changes, tries other readings and picks the one that makes real words, and marks unsure letters with a question mark. Also: automatic sensitivity in Scan and Talk, steadier reading with a hand-held phone, a brighter night mode with a camera picture you can actually see, shareable clips of messages you receive, an Invite screen, and a flashing-light safety notice at first launch.
