Pocket VNC: Remote Desktop
Remote desktop for your Mac
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Pocket VNC turns your phone or tablet into a remote screen for your computer. Connect to a Mac, Windows PC or Linux machine running a VNC server, see its desktop, and control it with simple touch gestures.
No account and no cloud relay. The app connects directly to your computer on your local network, or over your own VPN.
WORKS WITH
• macOS Screen Sharing, including sign-in with your Mac username and password
• UltraVNC, including Windows logon
• TightVNC and other standard VNC servers
• VeNCrypt TLS encryption when your server supports it
CONTROL THAT FEELS NATURAL
Your screen works like a laptop trackpad:
• Drag one finger to move the cursor
• Tap to click, long-press to right-click
• Long-press and drag to select or move things
• Two-finger tap to right-click, two-finger drag to scroll
• Pinch to zoom, or switch between fit-to-screen and actual size
A FULL KEYBOARD
• Type with the on-screen keyboard or a connected hardware keyboard
• Special keys bar with Esc, Tab, Ctrl, Alt, Win/⌘, Shift, arrow keys, Home, End, Page Up/Down, Insert, Delete and F1–F12
• Modifier keys stay down until your next key, so shortcuts like Ctrl+C are easy
• Send Ctrl+Alt+Del with one tap
CLIPBOARD
• Send text from your clipboard to the remote computer, then paste it there
• Type text straight into the remote computer, including characters the clipboard can't carry
• Optionally copy text from the remote computer to your device automatically
YOUR DEVICES, ORGANIZED
• Save computers by IP address, with a custom port or display number
• See at a glance which computers are online
• Thumbnails show each screen as you last saw it
• Choose picture quality per device: Fast, Balanced or Lossless
• View-only mode for watching without changing anything
• Edit, duplicate or delete saved devices in a tap
PRIVATE AND SECURE
• Passwords are kept in your device's secure storage
• Your screen and keystrokes go straight to your computer and never pass through our servers
• Standard VNC traffic is not encrypted. Outside your home or office network, use a VPN or a server with TLS.
THOUGHTFUL DETAILS
• Light and dark themes
• Keep the screen awake during a session
• Optional haptic feedback
• Ads appear only on the device list, never while you're connected
GETTING STARTED
1. Turn on a VNC server on your computer. On a Mac, open System Settings > General > Sharing and turn on Screen Sharing.
2. Tap Add device and enter the computer's IP address.
3. Tap the device to connect.
