Ten kicks, ten random spots. Read the wind, battle the rain and snap it from the pocket to advance. Kick-a-bag and achieve the impossible... FLICKETY FOOTY is Aussie Rules goal kicking in the palm of your hand. Ten kicks from ten spots on the ground. Flick the footy through the big sticks, read the wind, bend one round from the pocket and see if you can kick a bag. Then take on your mates in F-O-O-T-Y. FLICK TO KICK • Swipe from his boot to the goals. Its length sets the power, its direction the aim and its bend the curve. • No aiming line, no power bar. Just your finger and your feel. • Flick straight for a drop punt. Bend it and he turns side-on for a snap that curls in from the pocket. Outside the 50 it's a torpedo, spiralling all the way. EVERY KICK DIFFERENT • Each kick drops you somewhere new, from 14 metres out to a 57-metre bomb, straight in front or hard on the boundary. • Whatever's blowing, there's always a goal to be had. READ THE WIND • Every kick has its own wind, from a still day to a howling gale, and it blows harder the higher you climb. • A stiff headwind can take a quarter off your kick and a crosswind will carry it wide, so aim upwind and let it drift back. • The arrow shows its direction, speed and strength. • Read the grass too: waves roll across the turf, closer together the harder it blows. HERE COMES THE RAIN • On Legend, God and Impossible every kick brings its own weather: dry, light, medium or heavy, coming down harder the higher you climb. • The sky darkens, the light towers come on and the rain leans with the wind. • Water runs down your screen. Give your phone a good shake to throw it off. • In heavy rain the footy turns yellow so you can still pick it out. • Rain never moves the ball. It just makes the wind harder to read. THE D.U.D. • Close call? The Digital Umpire Device sends it to the big screen for a slow-motion replay, frozen with the margin in centimetres, before it flashes GOAL or BEHIND. • Then the goal umpire signals it old school and 47,000 fans go up. CLIMB THE LADDER • Normal: miss and you take it again. Land all ten and you've kicked a bag. • A bag opens Legend Mode and Streak Mode. A Legend bag opens God Mode. A God bag opens Impossible Mode. • On Legend and up, one miss and the bag's gone. Start again, or practise the kick that got you. • Impossible Mode gets harder every kick, ending on the goal line in the pocket, where only a snap can bend it through. • Streak Mode: keep kicking until you miss. • Win a trophy on every ground and share it with your mates. Your first Impossible Trophy unlocks a bow-and-arrow goal celebration, for good. NEW: F-O-O-T-Y • Challenge a mate head-to-head through Game Center. • Kicks from random spots on the ground. Miss and you cop a letter. Spell F-O-O-T-Y and you lose. • The first ten kicks are at Legend difficulty, then it steps up to God. NEW: ACHIEVEMENTS AND LEADERBOARDS • Game Center achievements for your first bag, Legend and God trophies, the bow and arrow, collecting Impossible Trophies and the Double Banger: one kick, two posts. • Streak leaderboards for your all-time best and this week's best.
