See what needs eating first. Scan a barcode and the printed date, and get one reminder a day. No account, no ads, and your list never leaves your iPhone. Crisper keeps track of the food in your kitchen and when it goes off, so you eat it in time and throw less away. WHAT TO EAT FIRST Open the app and the food that needs eating soonest is at the top. Colours run from green to red as the date gets closer. QUICK TO ADD • Scan a barcode to fill in the name, brand and picture. • Scan the date printed on the pack with the camera. • Or type a few letters and pick from the list. • Products you have added before are remembered. DATES YOU CAN TRUST Crisper tells use-by dates, best-before dates and its own estimates apart. When a pack has no date, the estimate comes from USDA FoodKeeper guidance for 355 foods, and depends on whether the food is in the fridge, the freezer or the pantry. Estimates are general guidance, not a guarantee. OPENED AND FROZEN Mark something as opened or move it to the freezer, and its date adjusts. ONE REMINDER A DAY A single reminder at the time you choose, listing what is about to expire. Mark an item as used or tossed straight from the reminder. ON YOUR HOME SCREEN Widgets for the home screen and the lock screen show what to eat first. SHOPPING LIST Add what you have run out of with one tap, and put it away into your kitchen when you have bought it. SEE WHAT YOU WASTE Weekly charts of what was eaten and what was thrown away, and which foods are wasted most. WORKS OFFLINE Everything works without a connection. A new barcode scanned offline is named once you are back online. CRISPER PRO Every new user gets all of Crisper Pro free for 14 days, with no payment details asked. After that, adding food, barcode scanning, your lists and the daily reminder stay free. Date scanning, widgets and stats need Crisper Pro: monthly, yearly, or a one-time lifetime purchase. PRIVATE No account, no ads, no analytics. Your food list stays on your iPhone. The only thing sent anywhere is a barcode number when you scan one, to look up the product. You can export your list as a spreadsheet at any time. Product data from Open Food Facts, available under the Open Database License. Shelf-life guidance from the USDA FoodKeeper. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. You can cancel at any time in your App Store account settings.
