Chinese writing through story
Free
Follow Journey to the West through 365 passages from all 100 chapters, with pinyin, English and French support, stroke order for 1,651 characters and 100 paintings.
Follow Journey to the West through 365 Chinese passages from all 100 chapters. Read with pinyin and English or French support, then write each passage over a faint guide.
Explore local stroke-order lessons for 1,651 characters. Your passage handwriting and progress stay saved in the app, so you can return to your practice.
Discover 100 chapter paintings. Open the detailed viewer, inspect each image at its actual pixel size, and zoom or pan through the composition.
The text, paintings, fonts and stroke lessons are included for offline use. There is no account, subscription, advertising or locked feature. An optional one-time tip through the App Store, when available in your storefront, supports the work. It renews nothing, unlocks nothing and is never required. The app does not automatically sync writing between devices. Translations and contextual glosses are machine-assisted.
Based on the public-domain Chinese novel, with credited dictionary, stroke-data and font sources.

A separate live writing preview helps you see the guide and your ink while practising. The preview sits beside the writing area on larger screens and above it on phones. This update also improves letter-practice layout while keeping your saved handwriting and progress. The preview now keeps your last point visible after you lift your finger.
