New update: eight new villagers, a walk-in infirmary, winter hares and a Very Hard mode. Keep the fire alive and grow your village. No ads.
The cold never stops. Neither do you.
Light the last ember, keep the fire alive and bring a frozen village back to life in EmberFrost: Survival Tycoon.
A cozy but tense village builder with a real story, played with one thumb.
You arrive alone at Tamarisk Village, a ruin buried deep in snow. The fire pit at its heart has gone cold, the temperature keeps falling, and nobody is left to rebuild. With a lantern and the Last Ember, you light the first fire, and the village slowly wakes up.
GATHER, CARRY, SELL, BUILD
• Chop wood in the pine forest, fish through the ice and cut stone at the quarry.
• Sell to the villagers at the market stall and collect the coins they leave behind.
• Stand on a building zone to spend your coins and watch a new place rise from the ruins.
• Unlock 26 places in all: cabins, a market stall, a fishing hole and a repaired pier, a stone quarry, a forge, an infirmary, a storage shed, braziers, a torch fence, wind screens and a lookout tower.
KEEP THE FIRE ALIVE
• The fire's warmth is the safe ring everyone lives in. Feed it wood, and upgrade it to warm a wider circle.
• Out in the cold you slow down, so plan each trip and get back in time.
• Light braziers, raise wind screens and a torch fence to push the warmth further out.
• Nights are colder, and snowstorms roll in every few days.
HIRE HELP AND GROW
• Hire woodcutters, a fisher, a stonecutter and a carrier who walks the paths for you.
• Visit the forge to craft better tools, bigger crates and a sled for heavy loads.
• Build cabins and grow the village to 20 villagers, then keep their spirits up through long, dark nights.
A STORY WORTH STAYING FOR
• Granny Maud, the village healer, is the first to come out of the forest when the fire is lit. She teaches you to keep it burning and cares for the sick.
• Lily, a young mapmaker, arrives with a torn piece of an old map. Each visit, she has found a little more.
• Bram, the smith, brings the forge back to life and helps you prepare for the worst.
• Nobody dies in EmberFrost. The worst that can happen is that a cold, unhappy villager packs up and leaves.
THE GREAT BLIZZARD
Something big is coming from the north. When the last place is built, the Great Blizzard arrives: the temperature falls hard, the wind howls, and the fire eats wood faster than ever. Everything you built must hold until morning. Survive it, and the whole village gathers around the fire for a festival dance.
THE FROZEN LAKE
The lake north of the village is frozen solid, mostly. Slide across the ice, fish through the hole, repair the old pier, and watch your step near the middle, where the ice is thin.
PLAY YOUR WAY
• Normal mode for a cozy run, Hard mode for a real fight against the cold. Switch any time in the settings.
• About three hours of story, with a play-time clock so you can try to beat your best run.
• Plays fully offline. No account, no sign-in, no waiting timers.
• Portrait mode and simple one-thumb controls.
21 LANGUAGES, FULLY VOICED
Every line of the story is voiced, in English, German, French, Spanish, Brazilian and European Portuguese, Japanese, Turkish, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish, Finnish, Russian, Ukrainian, Hindi, Arabic, Thai, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, Korean and Indonesian.
COZY ART AND SOUND
Warm low-poly scenes, falling snow, a crackling fire and soft music: a small winter world that is calm to look at and tense to survive in.
FAIR AND SIMPLE
No ads, ever. The prologue and your first three places are free. One purchase, Full Story, unlocks the rest of the story for good: every place and worker, the forge upgrades, the Great Blizzard and the ending. Optional coin packs appear later in the game; the story can be finished without them.
