See the estimated size before you create, compare over your own video and replace the original: it stays 30 days in Recently Deleted. Your first light version is free. Find the videos taking up the most space on your iPhone and make them light, on the device, while you stay in control of the original. START WITH THE BIGGEST • The home screen shows your available space, measured on the iPhone, and an estimate (≈) of how much your biggest videos could shrink. • Under Start here, the three biggest, with estimated size and a Make light button. CHOOSE THE SIZE BEFORE YOU PAY • Nearly identical, Balanced or Much smaller: each option shows its estimated size and percentage before anything is processed. • Drag the before/after line over your own video, at the same instant; hold to see the original. DECIDE WITH THE RESULT ON SCREEN • Tap Create light version. The final size is confirmed when it's done. • Replace the original: the light version is saved and checked in Photos; only then does your iPhone ask to move the original to Recently Deleted, where it stays 30 days. • Or Keep both (and move the original later, in Compare both) or Discard. • A light version is only offered when it is at least 5% and 5 MB smaller. ORIGINAL IN RECENTLY DELETED • The home screen shows the originals in Recently Deleted, the date they're recoverable until and Open Photos. • Emptied Recently Deleted? Tap I emptied it to see your available space measured before and after. VIDEO QUEUE (PRO) • Up to 50 videos, one size for all, one at a time, with the same verification; videos that are already light are skipped. • Optional: Replace originals when done. Once every light version is checked, a single iPhone confirmation moves the originals to Recently Deleted. SEND A SMALLER VERSION (PRO) • Choose the destination's limit – for messages (up to 64 MB), for email (up to 25 MB) or a custom size – and, if you like, just a clip. The file is shared from your iPhone, never goes to Photos and is deleted afterward. BUILT TO PRESERVE • The app never overwrites or edits the original. The light version is a new video in Photos, with the same date, location and favorite. • Every light version is read in full and compared with the original before it goes to Photos, and checked again once saved. • The app never deletes permanently. With iCloud Photos, a removal may show up on your other devices. Recently Deleted is not a backup. HONEST RESULTS • Compression can reduce detail, and the reduction varies by file. Estimates are not a guarantee. • The sizes shown are file sizes. The space only comes back once Recently Deleted is emptied. PRIVACY • Everything happens on the iPhone. Your videos are not sent to servers. • No account, no ads and no tracking. COMPATIBILITY • Up to 30 minutes and 10 GB per video; up to 4K and 120 frames per second. • H.264 and HEVC in MOV or MP4. The light version uses HEVC, audio is copied without re-encoding and HDR stays HDR (HLG and Dolby Vision 8.4). • Videos edited in Photos (the light version keeps the edit) and time-lapse are supported. • iCloud-only videos are downloaded only if you tap Download from iCloud and continue. • Not supported in this version: Cinematic mode, slow motion and spatial videos.
