openGym: Workout Tracker
Open source gym log, no ads
Free · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
openGym is a workout tracker made by people who lift, for people who lift. Plan your week, log every set, and see what you actually did. No account, no ads, no subscription, no tracking.
PLAN
• Over 5,600 exercises with animated demos, in 19 languages
• Four starter plans (Push/Pull/Legs, Upper/Lower, Full Body, 5×5), or build your own
• A routine per weekday, or a rotation (A, B, C, A …) if your week doesn't run on a schedule
• Supersets, warm-ups, drop sets, rest-pause, timed holds, per-side reps
TRAIN
• Today's workout starts itself, with weights filled in from last time
• Rest timer that still rings with the screen locked
• Plate math for the plates you actually own
• Progression rules: linear, Greyskull, double progression and more
• Check in at your gym by showing your membership code from the app
TRACK
• Estimated 1RM curves, volume per muscle, a recovery map
• Body weight against your goal, progress photos side by side
• Edit any past workout, or log one you did on paper
YOURS
• Everything stays on your phone. Want sync? Connect your own openGym server.
• Import from Strong, Hevy and FitNotes; export everything any time
• Optional AI coach that drafts your week, with your own API key, and only after it asked you
• Free and open source (AGPL), built in the open with the community
IPHONE AND APPLE WATCH
• Apple Watch app: the current set, the rest timer and your heart rate on your wrist; tick sets off from there
• Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, plus widgets for your Home Screen
• Apple Health if you want it: finished workouts and weigh-ins land there too

openGym starts again on iPhones with iOS 15.5 to 16.3. Sorry about the endless logo, and thanks for telling us!
• Halloween is here: a spooky theme until the end of October (Settings > Look & Home > Seasonal themes), plus 9 app icons to pick from, a Halloween one included.
• Gym reminder: add your gym and openGym nudges you to start when you walk in. Off until you turn it on, and your places stay on this iPhone.
• Lock Screen: Skip rest and Next exercise without unlocking.
• Apple Watch: RPE and RIR on the wrist, a 3-2-1 before you start, Water Lock, Discard, and an "All done?" when you forget to finish.
• Apple Health: heart rate from your watch and weigh-ins from other apps come in, if you want them. A run now counts as a run.
• Every routine shows a tiny body map of what it hits.
• Export your workouts as a spreadsheet (CSV).
• Machine taken? One tap to your backup exercise.
• Swedish, and a long list of fixes and ideas from the community.
