This truly is a genius layout and GUI design! Great job, great app. Thank you!*** There seems to be bug with iOS 15.5 - when you use landscape mode, the GUI is rotated 90 degrees, so not actually landscape mode - I have seen a rotate button display sometimes that corrects this, but most of the time it will not show, and I can’t find a repeatable way to make it display. I have this problem on an iPad Pro 10.5”. Developer please look into and fix! I would gladly pay for that update! Thanks.*** As always, I find the work around five minutes after I report the bug. The issue I reported can be fixed (with Click Metronome open) by pressing the home button (to hide the app/show all open apps) and then re-open the app. The incorrect orientation corrects itself! (This also makes the rotate button display.) I hope this helps others with this issue.

Make no mistake, this app was about to become my go-to metronome app to be used exclusively on my watch via haptic feedback as I use two hands to play my instrument. Well, if you have an Apple Watch Series 4 or less, forget it. The haptic only works if the display is on. This means you get adjust all of your settings every time you want to use this OR you get to have a maximum of 70 seconds (max for Apple Watch) before you don’t get a choice and it shuts off. Fix the haptic so that it works with the screen off or find another solution and I’ll bump this to 5 stars. Until then, time to uninstall and keep searching.Update: Received a surprisingly professional and uncommonly empathetic and humble response from the developer. For that reason alone, I’ll bump the rating to 3 stars. Still doesn’t fix the issue and still doesn’t prevent others from wasting their time (add something that states that this app cannot do this to the description and save us all some time) but if that issue were addressed, I’d definitely come back.

Hi Zathrak, totally understand the frustration! Yes, a haptic metronome! Oh wait, it keeps turning off. Unfortunately, this is a limitation of the Apple Watch itself. The system does not allow haptics like this to continue in the background. Except for very limited cases, when the screen is off, your app is off, and that's it. This is, of course, a tradeoff they've made to save battery life, but it makes for a less than ideal experience if you are expecting something different. I tried to let people know in the description that the Apple Watch version is good "for a quick tempo reference." But, if Apple ever enabled background haptics, you can bet Click will have it ready to go ASAP! I hope you come back to Click and give it another try. You'll find there are no apps on the store currently which can do what you're looking for, but maybe you'll like Click for its other features! --Ryan

Iphone app : this by itself is very well laid out and works great. I like how all the settings disappear when not in use, very clean. It is very feature rich as well and I don’t see myself needing anything that isn’t already there. Apple Watch app : very clean as well. It is much more feature rich than other apps that provide compatibility with watch. The metronome is loud enough to use by itself if you wish. I also use the remote for to control the iPhone metronome. Saves you some time from picking up and unlocking the phone to adjust your settings. The haptic only works with always on screen but that’s not the developer’s issue, it is a Apple Watch limitation. Overall I am really impressed and pleased with this metronome. Thank you for the awesome and FREE app.

This app maybe isn’t known for how I use it, but after trying it, I found it to be exactly what I needed. It’s simple, clean, and offers optional settings—including four sound effects—to suit personal preferences. Easily tapping the screen anywhere pauses sound and function when desired. It also runs in the background, which is a big plus at times. I’ve tried other metronome apps that don’t, and it can be inconvenient. The interface is minimal and not only ad-free, which makes for a smooth experience, it’s also free-free. Making this app check all the boxes for me.
