Must Have App for Cruising⛵️🏝
Cruising would not be the same without Navily. As a full-time live-aboard and cruiser, I rely on three apps on a daily basis, and Navily is one of them. The information in the community reviews is invaluable when trying to decided where to anchor (or dock). Being able to see photos of an anchorage gives you some insight into what you'll find once you arrive. The seabed descriptions are more informative than what's on most navigational charts. I'm also very impressed with the accuracy of the Navily Score, which shows the forecasted weather protection for an anchorage by three hour segments (available with Navily Premium). For the times when you wish to visit a marina, the ability to make a reservation within the app is a time saver over calling or emailing.
Great customer service
Very good experience with Navily. We used the premium version for almost a year now and it helped us find very good spots to anchor and reserve marinas. Also one item to point out. Yesterday we had an issue with a Marina and Navily customer service jumped in and helped us right away. Great customer service ! Highly recommend.
No Coverage in United States
This app is totally useless for any mariners in the United States. I attempted to search for any inputs covering the entire Chesapeake Bay and surrounding areas which includes Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Washington DC and New Jersey. I found no information inputs. I did not verify these details before I subscribed to their premium version. I have asked their customer service for a refund on my subscription. Sounds like it could be good but it relies on us to fill in the information. There are so many other apps that do this and add so much value with additional navigation features. I mean no disrespect with this review but as the consumer, I feel very cheated.
