Automated Bookkeeping

$29.99 · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Introducing CubeBooks, The First Automated Bookkeeping App on the App Store. Same app, same account, same invoices. Everything you built is still here. What is new is that the app now does the bookkeeping for you, and it runs everywhere you work: iPhone, iPad and the web, on one account that stays in sync. Most accounting apps are a form. You open one, you type, you categorise, and the books are only as current as the last evening you gave up to them. CubeBooks works the other way round. You tell it what happened, or you hand it the paperwork, and it writes the entries. SPEAK IT, IT BOOKS IT Say "paid Rona four eighty-two for shop supplies on the Visa." CubeBooks writes the double entry, codes the account, and shows you the result before anything posts. Vendor, amount, account, card, date. Every field editable, one tap to approve. Four seconds, standing at a counter, receipt still in your hand. DROP EVERYTHING, IT SORTS IT Photograph a receipt. Forward a bill. Drop a folder of statements you never opened. CubeBooks reads them, matches them against what is already in the books, and files them. It does not need them named, sorted or in order. That was the point. IT MAKES THE CALLS CubeBooks phones customers about invoices that are past due, and answers the phone when they call back. You see who was called, what was promised, and what actually arrived. Chasing money is the job every owner hates and the one that decides whether the month works. IT TELLS YOU BEFORE THE CASH RUNS OUT Most apps show you a balance. A balance is a number from this morning. CubeBooks shows you the run: what is scheduled to leave, what is expected to arrive, and the day the two do not meet. "Short $5,050 on 26 September. That is payroll day. Acme owes $5,000 on an invoice already 78 days late. Collecting it covers the gap." Then it offers to make that call. NOTHING POSTS WITHOUT YOU Anything the app is less than ninety per cent sure about is held, not guessed. Held items sit in one queue with the reason attached: no match, possible duplicate, blurred total. You approve, correct or reject. The books are yours, and every entry says where it came from: voice, scan, bank, invoice or typed by hand. ONE ACCOUNT, EVERY DEVICE Start an invoice on the phone, finish it on the laptop. Scan a receipt in a parking lot and see it on the desktop before you get home. Phone, tablet and web share one set of books, one dashboard you arrange once, and it keeps working when the signal does not. A NEW LOOK FOR CUBEBOOKS CubeBooks has been redesigned around one clear blue, a new app icon and a cleaner typeface built for reading figures. Your cash, what needs you, and your totals now sit in a blue header at the top of each screen, with the work below. WHAT'S NEW • Home opens on your cash on hand, with the number of items waiting for a decision right below it. • A new floating tab bar, with Home, Drop, Speak, Money and More always in reach. • Sign in with Google, alongside Sign in with Apple. • iPad: invoices, bills, expenses, contacts, vendors, journal entries and the chart of accounts open side by side with their list when your iPad is wide enough. Sign-in and setup use the full screen. • A simpler Books menu: the places you use most, and reminders on your dashboard when something needs doing. • Month-end: CubeBooks reminds you when a month is ready to close, and you can close it in a tap or be reminded later. • For accountants: open the app on your client list, open a client's books in one tap, and add a new client and invite its owner. IMPROVEMENTS AND FIXES • The Money forecast's "lowest point" now counts today's balance. • Faster, steadier start-up. • More of the app is translated into French, Spanish, Portuguese and German. • Clearer text and better contrast in light and dark mode, and text sizes that follow your device settings. • Settings › Accounts now saves your changes.
