The webPOISONCONTROL® mobile app provides expert help for a possible poisoning. It helps users determine if an exposure is dangerous and requires medical attention.
Did the baby eat a berry, a flower or a cigarette? Did you take the dog’s medicine? Did your toddler eat pills from grandma’s purse? Did you swallow something that might be poisonous? Did you splash a product in your eye or on your skin? Are you coughing from irritating fumes? Were you bitten by a spider? Did you take a double dose of your medicine? Don’t guess what you should do. Get accurate answers prepared by poison experts.
Use the webPOISONCONTROL app to find out if you need to call your poison center or go to an ER, or what to do if it’s safe to stay home. This free, confidential app will guide you. Just enter the age, substance, amount taken (if swallowed), weight, and time since the exposure to get an immediate recommendation. A barcode reader allows you to scan the product instead of typing or searching for the product name. Next tell us whether you have symptoms, and if so, the app will check to see if they are common, expected symptoms, or more serious. Often, it’s safe to stay home, but the app will tell you what symptoms to expect and when to call your poison center or go to an ER.
Help is available for swallowed poisons, skin, eye, inhalation and injection exposures, and bites and stings. Users can get immediate guidance for medications taken in double dose or too close together. The app was developed by poison experts and has been safely used by more than one million people seeking help for a poison emergency.
We had a huge scare with my 5 year old while we were overseas. Communication was difficult with the local poison control phone line and this app was extremely helpful. While my wife was on the phone I was with my son and filling in the questions on this app. I got the result on the app saying no ER visit was necessary but expect a list of side effects. Eventually my wife got the same exact info from a doctor on the phone. Having both perspectives was so reassuring. A day later and our son is fine, just as the app (and Dr) said. Thank you for this amazing service/support when you really need of.
Amazing resource!

I left a review on the online site saying I needed an app for this and turns out... There is one! I use the webpoison control site all the time. My son is 10 months old and has gotten into some questionable things. I love having the Poison Control resource right there to check whether I should freak out or not. Pretty sure using the Poison Control resource has legit saved me thousands of dollars in emergency room/urgent care bills.
Thanks
